What the hell overclockers! 60pa min call charge [Moderator edit: OcUK can be contacted on 01782 444

The only one to blame here is Vodafone. From 10th August they increased their charges to certain 08 by huge amounts. Op is with Vodafone so not ocuk fault but vodafones.

No, the only one at fault is the OP. He should have checked the OcUK site, instead of googling for the number. The number he called isn't even advertised anymore. The only 0871 number they have up there now is for suppliers to contact.

Why does the number still exist/work if not to fleece callers? Such as what the OP has experienced...stick to your guns OP, even when half the forum turns against you. They'd be complaining much the same if it was any other company.

Great idea, cut off the number that's probably on thousands of emails and invoices from years ago.
You should work in telecoms!

It's for suppliers.
Accounts Department for Suppliers

If you need to talk to our accounts department you can contact them on 0871 200 5057.

Good god. No ones fault but OPs.
Phoned the wrong number and didn't bother reading updates to his contract.

Or perhaps have an automated message warning people it's premium and to dial their standard costs number. Or perhaps just cut the line off, and put faith in to their customers to find the correct number on their website.

They said themselves it's been a year or more since it was advertised as used.

Instead, it's still their lingering and ready to making a killing off people calling.

It it's for suppliers they it should state that at the start of the call. Or the 30 mins of support they gave him on the premium line should have been ended and him given the correct number...if it's for suppliers.

"Oh, sorry sir. You've called the account/suppliers number. Use this number for customer services..."

It is still used for suppliers, as ocuk site clearly states, even has a nice big title.

All phone contracts are different, op should know what his charges are, and he shouldn't trust random Google search.
