What the hell overclockers! 60pa min call charge [Moderator edit: OcUK can be contacted on 01782 444

I was drunk and you committed my ultimate sin of replacing have with 'of' and the initials 'ect' when the word is ETCetera.
Usually I'd just think you've had no education but alcohol took over.
Apologies.

Poor grammar is not acceptable, especially from English/British people as it is the primary language.

I often find that people who have English as their second language (espeically from other European countries) actually comprehend our English grammar rules better than many English/British people do.

It just shows the lacking approach to basic education in the UK.:rolleyes:

It it's for suppliers they it should state that at the start of the call. Or the 30 mins of support they gave him on the premium line should have been ended and him given the correct number...if it's for suppliers.

"Oh, sorry sir. You've called the account/suppliers number. Use this number for customer services..."

Issue is its only a premium line number if you are ringing from a Vodafone mobile. Should every business answer the phone and ask which mobile network you are ringing from and advise them to ring a different number which would be cheaper on their phone?

Vodafone are the scum here by increasing their call charges by 200%. Vodafone should put a recorded message on their phones that informs people they are going to be charged an arm and a leg when they ring this type of number and press one to continue.

Or perhaps have an automated message warning people it's premium and to dial their standard costs number. Or perhaps just cut the line off, and put faith in to their customers to find the correct number on their website.

They said themselves it's been a year or more since it was advertised as used.

Instead, it's still their lingering and ready to making a killing off people calling.

When you ring this number from a mobile you'll get a warning advising that it'll cost and to hang up if you don't want to accept the charges.

This shows that there is a need for a Sexy RMA chat line at premium rates for those wanting a special service. :p

My offers to do it, complete with webcam have so far been turned down.

Apparently I don't have the voice for radio and camera lenses have been known to crack in my presence.

It's for suppliers.

Good god. No ones fault but OPs.
Phoned the wrong number and didn't bother reading updates to his contract.

err ok id say at least 70% of people who own mobile phone contracts do not know how much it costs for a call to 0870 numbers or any other non landline numbers, you know and i know that not many people bother reading the small print until something goes wrong, but im sure that if I do put a complaint in then Vodafone will probably refund the charge....

Dont forget the saying "the customer is always right"

And of course its not overclockers, im sure that the 20 quid I got billed will go to voda and clockers wont see a penny of it, lolz no wonder they make billions every year in profits...

Most people are more than aware what are premium rate numbers on their plans, even if they dint know exact price. You messed up, no one else.

yeah true, its a stealth charge, they know most people never bother looking for the cost of the call until its too late

I know before if you called a 0800 number from a mobile then there is a pre-recorded message to state it will be charged, voda should do the same and give warnings before connection is made to all 0870 numbers....

So it's okay that loads of people are ignorant then? Regardless of how high the numbers are, it doesn't mean it's not your fault.

Where've you got your 70% from, anyway? I personally don't know anyone who isn't aware of the fact that they will get reamed by ringing an 087 number on their mobile.

Vodaphone aren't going to refund you for making a call you intended to make.

I've had refunds from Vodaphone and it's been for something they've got wrong themselves.

Dont forget the saying "the customer is always right"

No one is forgetting it, but you seem to think that if we remember it then it becomes true. It doesn't, the customer isn't always right.

And of course its not overclockers, im sure that the 20 quid I got billed will go to voda and clockers wont see a penny of it, lolz no wonder they make billions every year in profits...

You seemed to think it was Overclockers when you first posted this...

The majority of Vodaphone's profits will not be from ignorant people ringing 087 numbers from their phones.

Honestly, you shouldn't be signing up for a phone contract if you barely know anything about it bar the handset that you're getting for "free".

It isn't a stealth charge. The issue here is that your ignorance has led you to believe that an 087 number will just come out of your allowance.

Everyone should know that it'll cost something outside of your allowance.
