Wheel change opinion

Looks like I need some new fronts for my A4 dag dag. As it's also coming up to winter, and I'm going off rotor style wheels due to everyone having them, I'd done a quick and dirty photoshop to a new set of Audi A5 wheels I can get for a good price.

Here's the original:

NB: I'll be going from 19" to 18", but I'm hoping it'll be a comfier ride and I assume that the winter tyres I'll be getting will be the same overall diameter so it won't look silly. Plus, the A5 has a slightly lower offset, so I think the wheels will be overall slightly wider and fill the arch that way. Is that correct?

Opinions?

Between the two, I prefer the original.
I didn't like this A5 wheels, if I had an A5 I would swap the wheels with you

If they're smaller wheels, why have you made them bigger in Photoshop?

Hehe yeah I'm bloody awful at photoshop. Took me about an hour to get that far before I gave up.

Thanks all, and particularly Dup for fixing my hideous 'shop. Have decided to just get winter tyres for the wheels i have now. It'll be cheaper for 4x new tyres versus wheels + 4 tyres.

Pics don't work - can you fix it?

Whatever you do, just make sure the offset and wheel width will work! A5s have a different offset IIRC so they might look funny.

Acceptable wheel sizes can be checked here http://www.wheel-size.com/.

Well that's useful! I created a spreadsheet using data from http://www.original-felgen.com/
Much more time consuming!

http://www.original-felgen.com/ Is useful though as it shows all the various wheel styles.

Do you know something our forecasters don't? The set of winter wheels and tyres I got for the Mini in 2013 were a total waste of money

It's almost like we don't live in Austria

Could've sworn Portsmouth was somewhere between Salzburg and Graz..

They're not a *total* waste of money though because you're using those instead of the summer tyres

No, infact the silver lining is that the car is approximately a billion times nicer to drive on 15 inch winters than 17 inch RFT's
