Essentially my C drive has way less space than it should remaining.
I noticed that my user file has 71gb of usage when it's visible contents are only 5gb...

This is on windows 7; does anyone know where it could be coming from?

Edit: Someone delete thread please, with everyone's suggestions it got sorted pretty quick.

There's a hidden appdata folder with three other folders, the likely culprit of which is "local".

But yes, get Treesize and it will visibly show you what's eating the space.

Most likely temp files that some programs should but failed to purge. Other than Treesize Free, also get CCleaner which will help clean up and recover some space.

Install treesize free. I don't know how people survive without it.

Tempted to get the pro version.

I use WinDirStat, but my boss prefers Space Sniffer. I've no idea what he was really searching for that day
