Hi all,

I've had my Kia Rio 2015 for 4 months now.

With the heavy rain and with the changing climate I've noticed I'm getting a lot of condensation inside the car window and with the side front passenger Windows and drivers side when lowering the windows to get rid of the water/condensation/misty it does nothing :( seems there are no internal (wipers) in the door frames to make the Windows clear to see and have to lower the Windows when it's ****ing down to see to turn lol.

Is this common I had internal wipers in my 2003 corsa..

Yes it is common, driven plenty of things that don't wipe either inside or outside when lowering the window
I had no idea such things existed. I was literally thinking of a wiper on the side window like the ice rally cars :D

Pushing the window against the side when opening/closing helps FWIW.

Air con as has been said but you can also get a desiccant bag to leave in the car to soak up a bit of moisture. I'd recommend one of the ones that can be dried out in the oven and just shove it under the seat.

The Golf does it. It's incredibly frustrating on a cold morning when the windows are covered in condensation on the outside and I'm driving something else, window down, window up... Oh, still can't see. Have to get out and wipe it off etc.

Honestly don't see why all cars don't do it really.

If it's the Mk4 in your sig, seals perish over time, filters clog with leaves, etc.

This really shouldn't be happening on a 2015 Kia!

I meant that my Golf does wipe the windows :p

Don't get any condensation on the inside as I leave the climate control on with AC so it sorts the inside out fine anyway.

my dads had 3 kia rios (latest is 2014) and they have all had condensation problems inside, the front window is the worst, it even freezes sometimes, it's weird being the only one in the car park at the end of a work shift who has to wipe down the windows.

never had the problem on other cars he has owned, just the kia rios.

Sorry didn't realise I was quoting the OP, lol. I wouldn't have thought a relatively modern car would show a substantial difference when using the AC nowadays? I leave my AC on constantly and notice no real improvement on MPG when it's off.

When my daughter falls asleep in the back i can be idle and watch the petrol+ac on go down on the dial.
