Condensation and clean windows

No you can't :p

For sure Only by like 5% in 45mins via the mpg digital readout. But does drain quicker with using it.

I've popped to halfords and picked up a dehumidifier pillow :)

Just run the aircon constant for a week or so to get rid of any damp in the carpets etc and you won't need it on permanently after that.

What does 5% work out as 1-2mpg ? I doubt over several tanks it will even be that much as I can't calculate any noticeable difference with it off or on.

Either way better to lose a little in the way of fuel consumption and having clear windows than mucking about will pillows that won't do as a good a good as the AC will.

Dunno :) but if Idle the engine and put the ac on I can watch the mpg go down not sure how accurate the digital readout is though :)

I find it odd that someone would spend 10-15k on a car & then worry about 1, maybe 2 MPG which is probably going to amount to a couple of quid a month.

If money is that tight why buy a new car?

I've got Madcow Titanic Fog on my passenger and driver windows (testing it on them before windscreen) and it seems to work well :)

(Stops misting up)

Unless there's a leak. Our Aygo was a nightmare in the winter because it leaked like a sieve. The spare wheel well would fill up with water. You'd get into the car on a winters morning and suddenly from the outside it looked like you were rolling around with Snoop Dogg and Willy Nelson lighting up inside.

my old 2003 corsa overheated and died and had a family emergency and had to travel 1000 miles a week later :) so needed a car quick.

shall check the carpets/boot for any leaks ... in case & look at that rainX & keep the pillow in the car :P

was hoping a new car wouldn't have picky things :(

This is clearly false.

Oh god, okay it uses some fuel but not enough to be bothered about. Tell you what, I'll do a drive in my car with AC on and another without it on and I'll see what difference it makes to my MPG. If it's even possible to tell because accelerating from a stop slightly more than normal would use more fuel than having the AC on.

If you can afford a newish car you should be able to afford to have the AC on.
