Are tattoos passé yet?

Well that's my point... It's not just 'some' any more... it seems to be every other person these days.

well they might well regret them - in a few years they might shave off the hipster beard but the trendy arm tats are still going to be there... in a few years time, while at a water park on some family holiday they might well start to think 'WTF did I get all this crap drawn on my arms for?'

I got one on my arse when I was drunk abroad. I didn't want it but apparently my mates carried me to the dodgy tattoo parlour and I got it done whilst passed out. I agree with the OP.

Small subtle tattoo on shoulder, not visible usually, and not tacky caligraphy (most of my friends/relatives don't even know I have one).

It's the people who have them all over their arms, chest, neck, legs etc that irritate me.

Just one, not "I have them on my back" meaning more than?
Lets have a look.

Bet you got it done in Thailand on a whim too.

Did you get this done?

You do if partner... :/
Oh dear... Whatever will you do? How long do you think you have left before she ends up in a dumpster?
Out of interest, what did she get and where did she put it? I assume it's a she, but that's not important.

Nearly everyone copies football, music and movie stars. :/

Oh that's your babys name? Good for you...

What is your tattoo?

Never quite understood them. They rarely look good, even more seldom are original, and even then - if you have so much to share to the world that you need to carry it on you - wouldn't it be easier to just get custom printed long sleeve t-shirt or a leather jacket with embroidered back?

I keep it to myself. This thread would be somewhat ironic if I didn't, wouldn't it?

I just think it's disrespectful to your partner (or future partners) to get rubbish scrawled where it is going to be constantly on-view.

You're **** talking Tattoos and have them, you failed to mention you have your own and won't back that up. I want to know what you think is cool.

They are useful self esteem boosts for some people. That kind of boost would not work on me so they serve no purpose in my case.

It's fashion... Are you saying a person who bought some charity wristbands when they were 'cool' is in no position to say they are now not?

And besides, as I've already pointed out, my Tattoo is in a subtle position which is not usually visible, and that kind of thing ain't what I'm smack-talking here... ;)

Sounds like you really need a cup of mind your own business :) I have no tattoos but I have no problem with people that do, totally up to them!

Has your new uber chunky girlfriend got her ex tattooed on her and its a constant reminder that she thought he was better in bed than you?

A) no one with a tattoo will give two hoots what you think.

B) You don't always see tattoo's, yes they are always there but they are like birth marks, it just becomes part of the person and you don't really notice it.
