Each to their own I suppose, I enjoyed it, also enjoyed Fear the Walking Dead.

Beats watching Eastenders or any other British programming for that matter. Only thing I watch is Click on BBC iPlayer. lol. :D

I dunno, Cradle to Grave is one of the best things the BBC have had for ages, albeit Danny Baker's work.

Agreed, I really enjoyed last night's episode. The only thing I watch on British TV these days is The Chase and QI. The BBC had a peak of good programmes with Sherlock and Luther but now they have nothing that interests me.

My guess was the wolves messing with home but my gf said the priest which is a good possibility too.

This just got me thinking, if their walls are surrounded there's not a lot they can do about it? It's a solid wall. They don't have any elevated platforms behind the walls to fire down from. And they can't stabby stab them in the face through the fence like the one at the prison. So what do you do? :O

Anyone else find the B&W cut screens a bit annoying? lol

Just a thought...like it was suggested, couldn't they just make better the defences in the quarry? seems like a perfect defence seen as they are draw to the sound, then drop into the quarry with no way out.

Find some way to destroy the walkers that are in there, fire or something, once a month just get rid of a few 100 keep the numbers down.

Seems like a perfect opportunity to get ride of a few thousand instead of letting them all go miles away to wander once more..

I thought exactly the same thing... :D

Not impressed, dragged out to make a feature length episode. Why they didnt just tell it in the right order without the B&W. Compared to last seasons opener, a real let down.

Re the noise at the end

What happened to The Wolves from last series, are they still about

Not sure I liked the B&W effect.

I really hate stuff filmed in black and white, its 2015!

Just on the B&W stuff - this is from Greg Nicotero when asked about it. Makes sense really and tbf the comics were also done the same way.

"What prompted the decision to shoot the flashbacks in black-and-white? And did you shoot with black-and-white film or was it converted later?"

"We did not film in black-and-white, no. But we wanted to make sure there was a visual callback to the flashbacks versus the present day footage. It was something that was very important to us. We had done a couple of tests, including one where we de-saturated the flashbacks and over-saturated the present day action but it didn’t work. Our show is not over-saturated to begin with, so it sort of ends up looking like “The Wizard of Oz.” It was too vibrant. In a world where everything is supposed to be dead, we didn’t want to add that level of detail. The black-and-white fit perfectly with our storytelling."

Greg Nicotero Interview

just off topic, at the end of that interview he stated that there wouldn't be a cross over between TWD and FTWD which after seeing FTWD I'm quite glad about

Really enjoyed the opener again, The B&W shoot was different but did the trick.

Carol's
"act" as the clueless innocent housewife
is just brillant

I immediately said to my wife, 'that was the...

kid'.

The other guess was a good one though.

Think you could be right but it might be someone stuck in the WC again needing assistance lol

Think they are still about, it just touched on them but never expanded iirc.
