Just got this new case, been reading up on something and am finding a lot of talk about the fan hub thing not working as it should, i.e. it doesn't really control the fans as it should. do you all plug the stuff into it anyways, or do you connect the fans up separately? Some people seem to be using things like ASUS software to controlt he fans, i've got the gigabyte Z170XP board, not sure what that's capable of in this respect.

TIA

I use hardware monitor.

There is nothing special about the controller, it allows you to use a single setting to control all the fans. It's up to you and the motherboard.

Don't use it on the primo either, I've actually removed it from the case. I had a manual front bay fan controller so use it instead as I have 9 case fans to control.

I'm using the hub on my primo, I can hear the fans ramp up when gaming but only very slightly, and they don't slow down that much on idle. However I'm using an old x58 motherboard and the fan control is pretty much non existent. probably much better on new bios mobos

cheers for all the replies. i think i'll try the Hub to start, i'm running a GTX970 and the case already has a 200mm front fan and 120mm rear fan; given i'm not doing strenuous gaming at the mo i think this will be enough for my needs. if i increase the case fans later i might look then at a different set up

cheers
