Hi guys, Not long ago I was looking at a Custom loop but I don't think I'm going for that now.

Which is the best 280mm AIO Looking at the Swiftech H240X, Corsair H110i GTX, Raijintek Triton 280mm any others I should look at?

I would like the Swiftech but I'll need to change the tubing to transparent add another coolant etc.

Corsair H110i GTX which would be easiest option but I would need to change the fans to two Noctua's, Downside is black ugly tubing.

Raijintek Triton had the 240mm which I returned as I heard the 280mm was coming out, Mines ran fine however as I read the thread I know that they are plagued with problems leaking 5 months down the line etc, This is also the cheapest.

What your opinions? Which would you go for?

I've just upgraded my H100i to the H110i GTX and I'm pleased with the results, I've kept my 5390K O/C the same at 4.5ghz and the max temps have dropped 6/7C on all cores, the fans are quieter than that of the previous AIO and setting Corsair link into Quiet mode I only hear it when gaming even then it's low enough.
As for the pipes well I had the same feeling.....

I bought the H110 for its simplicity I wasn't interested in the gubbins the GTX comes with, keeps my 8350 @ 5.0GHZ 24/7 at 52C max

What fans do people change the standard 140MM to? Although they work well they are loud and getting on my nerves

For top money I would buy the new EK kit that's out,or go for the corsair AIO I have the corsair H 110i GT with fans in push/pull and it was great for cooling my 4820k @4.5ghz.
The swiftech kit looks good but what put me of that was you can only fit one set of fans on it.

Decided im going for the swiftech h240x, I will change the tubing and add a dye to it.
Good choice. It's head and shoulders better than any of the CLCs.

Some peeps complain about only being able to put fans on one side, but the radiator doesn't have enough airflow resistance to need push/pull fans. The stock fans are quite good.

I have looked at the EK Predator but as I have room for a 280mm rad up top I decided to go for the Swiftech which would give better performance, I know the Supremacy block is better than the Apogee but it's the rad that makes it perform better, I like the LED light on the Apogee also.

I have read that push/pull is not that much better anyway maybe 1-2c?

It all depends on what fans are used and how dense the fins and tubes in radiator are. Also at lower fan speed the push/pull do have an advantage, but generally the second set of fans increase the noise level about the same as running the single set a little faster for same temps. Even at higher speed this tends to be true.

Yep well I would not really bother with that tbh, I'll upload a picture of the setup when it's all done etc.. Will need to plug it in and make sure the pump is all in good shape no leaks from the reservoir, Then i'll change the tubing, Put new dye in, I got Mayhems XT-1 Red + The Mayhems Ultra H20 and Primochill clear tubing.

What about the NZXT X61? Is that worth considering?
H240-X gives better cooling at much lower noise

X61 is 39c @54dBA / 42x @39dBA while H240-X is36c @48dBA / 37c @ 40dBA

In second testing H240x only went up 3c when noise level dropped to 33dBA

Got the Swiftech H240x, Testing it out now in the PC for about a week see if it's all good, But I must say I am used to Air coolers and the pump noise is killing me.

What speed is the pump running? They can be slowed down to about 1300rpm and only increase the CPU temp by a couple degrees.

I am using the Swiftech 8-way PWM splitter, So the fans and pump are both getting the same speed, HWMonitor tells me 950RPM, Idle at 35-36c on a 2500k @ 4.6ghz.

Is the pump pluggedinto header #1 on hub? Or do you have a fan plugged into it?
Pump has an rpm range of 1200-3000rpm
Fans have an rpm range of 700-1800rpm.

I believe I've got the fan plugged in first, Would I be better changing that?

Slightly off topic, but does anyone's H110i GT make a droning/ringing noise while the pump is in quiet mode? Would be nice if it was a fault then I can RMA.

No noise should be present, especially in quiet mode. How about in performance mode? If it's a new installed unit, I'd wait for a couple of days and see if the noise will go away. if not, and if the noise is somewhat louder than your case fans, then I suggest that you get that unit swapped for a new unit.
