Well that's QI down the swanee

I don't have a problem with Sandi Toksvig, but Stephen Fry is irreplaceable on this show. Still, at least there are 13 years worth of repeats for Dave to show. :D
 
Can't blame him for leaving, it has been an incredibly long run. Not sure about Sandi Toksvig, reckon she'll do alright, but then I haven't watched it in the last couple of years anyway.

Felt like it was starting to run out of good material.
 
I have nothing really against Toksvig and she has been OK when she was a panelist. However I cannot see she will do anywhere near as good of a job as Fry :(
 
The only viable replacement for Fry would have been someone like Armando Iannucci, but he would be very unlikely to commit to something like this. Would have been better to have rotating hosts than stick with someone like Sandi Toksvig. Alexander Armstrong would maybe have done as a decent stand in, just to maintain the level of "poshness" which suits this show. 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown has replaced QI as my favourite comedy panel show at the moment anyway.
 
Toksvig should just be rebranded as Toxic. I detest that women, did anyone see her recently on Question Time? QI was always worth watching but never top of my list of favourites. Much prefer Have I Got News, 8 out of 10 or Last Leg for this 'type' of entertainment.
 
Don't blame him, the show was getting pretty stale. Quite like Sandi, hopefully this can refresh it and give Stephen more time to do other things. Like Danger Mouse!
 
Granted she was ok as a guest every now and again but I don't think I can sit through her hosting the show.
 
I've nothing against Sandi Toksvig but replacing Stephen Fry with anyone on QI would be no different to having someone else play Melchett on a new series of Blackadder. Not on :(
