I will keep you updated. Yes technically it's their fault, if the hack never happened then nobody could have known my password. Changing my password back was foolish of me of course.
I'll keep you updated and Twitter suggestion a good idea.

Sony where on watchdogs for this , suspending accounts for fraudulent activities when charged back to credit cards etc...

I'd 100% start emailing Eurogamer, Twitter, Sony UK PlayStation Facebook page, and start getting ready to inform Sony support you will take it to bodies like watchdogs if the matter isn't resolved quickly, Sony are getting a lot of bad publicity over their security. So get ready to fight back , totally unfair to suspend your account for something Sony did years ago. It wasn't your fault the hack happened. And I bet a few have used previous passwords that are now in username lists that will have been sold on numerous times by now..

I cannot defend any of Sonys actions with this. Their security is terrible. I agree with two step authentication, why Sony doesn't start rolling it out is just beyond belief.

Totally agree. The simple fact is that Sony should have a dedicated team/department to deal with people who've had their accounts hacked. Instead they blame you for it happening and don't seem at all interested in helping.

Spoke to support. I have to call back with my serial number and the caller said it will be passed on to head office.
I hope the length of time I've had it and the amount of purchases go in my favour of proving I'm not trying to blag anything.

Id also make them check every PS4 purchase to prove that its always been the same serial number until the hack. Probably best not to mention you changing your password back to a hacked known one though!

This afternoon I got a real name request on my app. Opened up app, wouldn't sign in, instantly got an email telling me I need to reset my password. I did it again, another email turned up and then I left it. Got home, tried to sign in on PS4, same story. Go to emails to reset password, emails gone

Try again, get told I need to reset password, emails not coming through. WTF?

Yeah they are looking at it now. Apparently I have 5 devices on my account, pretty sure I deactivated any old PS3 I sold. I can understand the Vita but no way should there be 3 PS3's on there.

It sounds like someone has gained access to both your e-mail and PSN accounts, and has now transferred the PSN account onto another e-mail address.

Time to change passwords ASAP and contact Sony.

This is what I get though when trying to sign in:

To sign in, an update of your account information is required. An e-mail message with instructions has been sent to [email protected]. It may take up to 24 hours to receive this message.

EDIT: Also, going through my account activity on Gmail, it looks like nobody has signed in elsewhere, only me

Did you click the link in the email? If you did what does it show when you hover over it?

Didn't click anything, thought I'd deal with it when I get home. Got home, emails gone. What the hell? This is driving me up the wall.

Ok, got it. Gmail put those emails in one of it's weird "hey look we're sorting your perfectly organized emails in to folders which you know nothing about LOL" folders.

Had me going there, just wondering why the reset in the first place. Odd.

Fair enough, makes sense. Sucks that they didn't do that for Noxia though!

Was just weird that I got a real name request then instantly told to reset my password, followed by the emails going missing and not being sent a new one. Having lost some money to hacking shenanigans before I did get a bit nervous.

It could be related to that, perhaps the account that made the name request was found to be hijacked so they decided to lock any accounts that had recent contact with it as a precaution. Good if that is the case, but that's just speculation.

Anyone elses PS4 say 'rebuilding database' every time they power it on? It only comes up for a couple of seconds then loads as normal.

Mine is, and always has been. Wired, wireless, direct... My vita is less laggy than my pstv for remote play

The pstv can only play a handful of vita games too

I found that changing the input on my hdmi switch so the ps4 didn't have a connection to the TV dramatically improved my remote play performance.

Yes i've been getting that message everytime since the 3.00 update, tried to rebuild the database in safe mode, that didn't fix the problem.
So i've left it, i've read if you reinitialize the ps4 that can fix it, but i'm not going to wipe my console for a problem that sony made.
The console works fine, no problem when playing games.
