Nvidia plans to lock Game Ready drivers behind GeForce Experience registration

Yeah look at the 970 fiasco, those cards were going back in their thousands with extra cash for their 980s, do you really think having to give them a piddly email address to get their drivers now is gona put anyone off :p

Agreed ^

Look at the Fury X Pump/Coil Whine EEEEEE! fiasco and folk still went back for more. :o ;)

At first I felt the general tone of dismay felt by others, but in retrospect I can't see this being that big of a problem. Certainly beats not having any decent incremental driver updates. Game Ready Drivers seem to be working pretty well so far, to the extent I don't think people honestly appreciate it come a point as you don't normally get to see the performance distinction from the previous build. I've already given my email as I'm signed up for the free game I was given not long ago, along with the login on the message boards.

What next? AMD making all BETA drivers only available through the Gaming Evolved client? Please don't ever do that to us AMD! Bad move from Nvidia.

A perceived pump whine issue is not the same as 4GB not being 4GB as advertised ;) At least AMD acknowledged and rectified the problem. Can't see where Nvidia did anything to help the 3.5GB complaints.

No, instead they used it as a marketing ploy "we invented a new Memory architecture :D:D:D:D:D:D:D" aren't we brilliant! and left it at that no doubt knowing their loyal army would peddle that line for them.

This is an outrage.

As we all know, the primary users of GeForce Experience are low-end users;

i) those with an interest in recording gameplay and
ii) those wanting to receive the latest SLI profiles for their multi-GPU systems

These poor fools simply can't fathom the concept of email, let alone entering one into a text box.

I'm never buying Nvidia again.

And you went out and bought one and love it to bits.

That's why Nvidia keep on trucking :p

How is streaming a hallmark of a 'low end' user ? What a ridiculous thing to say lol.
