Website to mark places to visit

Does anyone know of an account based website where you can make a list of all the places you want to visit in the future?

It would be good to mark these locations on a map perhaps? I may well look into making a custom google map but a travel orientated website would be ideal.

TripAdvisor app can save places you want to visit. Can't see a map feature though.

It sorts them by location

I remember my grandad telling me about them, you could put them on the wall and look at them and stuff.

Google maps is rubbish, as is trip advisor for this. So far I haven't found anything decent and just keep lists in one note.

The details aren't in the name, it looks essentially the same, now obviously haven't had a good play with it, but I can't see options that Google maps have, map layers aren't needed for such things.

The OP wants a map where you can identify and mark places you want to visit - this does it.

So do the others and far better than that sample, its just rubbish at doing it, it's painstaking and tedious.
This is what you can do on Google maps, I only do it when I have intentions of going to such places, and use one note for everything else, as it's to laborious to put all places in with relevant info in to these maps.

There's a big difference between software that can do it(of which there are plenty), and software that works well so you can actually be bothered to use it (so far I haven't found any).

I've just added 3 places in 20 seconds.
I typed Abu Simbel in the search, it found it and I clicked add to map
I typed Vesuvius in the search, it found it and I clicked add to map and so on.
How much easier do you want it?

Except you want far more info than that generally.
If you can't tell, this is something I've done and do. And I can't tell you that these maps are not set up for this sort of thing and as such are a pain to use. I didn't say you can't as I do it myself, I said they were rubbish, which they are.

The OP hasn't asked for that, he wants to mark them on a map like I do before I go on holiday.
I had a great Dublin one but I deleted it.
