EE offered £13 pm contract - worth pushing harder?

So, I'm at renewal and EE have offered me 2GB data, 2000 minutes and unlimited texts for £13 per month SIM only.

Apparently I use around 1GB per month, and 2000 minutes is comfortable, so that seems around the right kind of usage, but not sure whether they're giving me a good price.

I've had a look around online and there do seem to be some slightly better deals out there, but as I'm using the OPO I can only use EE and Three (and Three's deals don't seem to fit my usage profile).

Has anyone pushed them harder than this and got a good deal? I used to pay them £8 per month pre-4G so it feels a touch on the high side.

I'm with o2 and for £17 month I get everything unlimited minutes txts. + 3gb of date. It's really up to you if you want to push. You can try and always take that deal for £13

Is that a new 12 month contract or just a monthly rolling contract? If its the later it seems okay to me, seems similar to a lot of the 30 day deals you can get, but personally I wouldn't take it if it means signing up to a new contract.

I'd be happy with £13 a month on EE but I wonder if new customers can also get that deal?

I'm currently on virgin, unlimited mins/texts & 2gb of data for £12 (30 day). Only issue is no 4G!

the exact same offer is on the ee website....
Offer 1 With 2GB data, 2000 minutes
and unlimited texts
Just £13.99 (was £16.99)

So you're saving 99p over a new customer and no mention of 4g either... I'd be saying no.

Yeah they'd pitched it as saving £4 off that deal, not so great when you realise everyone gets £3 off to start with.

Do you really need 2000 minutes a month? I'd ask for less minutes and more data.

And that's a very good point. Effectively an hour per day, which is a crazy amount. I've had unlimited for so long that I don't really think about it, but I'm sure on my previous deal I had around 400 minutes and never went over it.

I'll see what they say.

Where is it on the EE website? Can only see the full price £16.99 one.

Edit: existing customer deals...

Edit2: Looks like you can just say you're not a customer and get the discount anyway? Very odd.

Where are you going to go?

Your problem is, unfortunately, that you are a very low profit customer, so cannot expect too much in the way of discounting. £13 seems a pretty decent deal if you get 4g with it.

I'm probably not going to go anywhere, I'll just let them sweat it for a bit. A couple of years ago I did the same, wanted <£10 per month and they refused, got my PAC code and then a week later they called me back and offered me £8.

I might take the £13 offer from them, but not sure yet. Also, I may run the numbers and see if it's worth going for the Three PAYG and reducing my usage.

And yeah, you're right, I'm not a high profit customer for anyone really!

I asked for a pac code once. Got charged £8 for it oO

I pay £15 a month for 600 minutes, 3000 texts and unlimited data (truly unlimited, not with a fair usage cap) - but it is a several year old contract now. Its a shame that no companies are pushing out better deals, even years later!
