Nvidia plans to lock Game Ready drivers behind GeForce Experience registration

This is not a step in the right direction IMO, even if it is easy to generate a throwaway email.

What next, a charge for "enhanced" drivers?

Don't think I've a AMD drivers suck post in eons, but hey don't let that stop you ;)
 
Day one game ready drivers are a complete con. Batman AK proved this beyond any doubt.

I couldn't care less if Nvidia had my email address, but to be honest I'm getting to the stage where I stick with a driver that works for a few months anyway. For every good driver there seems to be half a dozen annoyances in between, released for publicity more than performance, often for a game that I do not own.

I'm not concerned about this in the slightest.

Nvidia have 82% market share they can do what they want because the competition is not good enough to make people jump ship. Blame AMD.
 
Nothing is actually changing for GE users. They're just removing options for people who don't use GE (for obvious reasons). If you're willing to defend that then something is really wrong with you.

If they make stupid decisions like that, then people will leave. I buy a card and want to download the drivers straight away, install them and play. I don't need/want to divulge any information to them. If AMD did this, people would be bashing them senselessly...
 
It's the digital age people. Every company wants your details and wants to track you. This shizz is worth monies nowa days! It's legal phishing!
People on android phones go check what the Facebook app has access to on your phone under permissions you might be surprised what it has access to! Facebook is a big phishing site!

nVidia probably want to farm your email addresses and sell them on to third party gaming companies or anything related to make monies!

None issue in my eyes, really don't care.
 
So the elephant here.... are you meant to keep swapping between drivers for each game just to reap the benefits? How easy is it to swap between versions? I don't know about you lot but I play a lot of different games, so this is kinda important.

Will/are review sites benching each game with a different driver?
 
Not sure how it is with nvidia drivers but I have pretty much played games constantly these last few years on AMD hardware and have next to no issues with drivers. I just update to the latest one and play games.

However I shall shortly be an nvidia user so will see how that goes. :)

Its more like marketing and market research companies as the lists generated from such applications can be listed to certain demographics.

I did have GFE installed. Its OK but didn't do much for me apart from the useful notifications of when new drivers were available.

What did AK being released as a complete mess have to do with Nvidia drivers?

Did I miss something and it was actually Nvidia that made the game and not Rocksteady?
