Vodafone Smart Ultra 6

This has probably already been mentioned, but I have just found the following comment on Hot UK Deals...

"It looks like someone has figured out how to put on Android 6.0 on this, and it all works:
http://droidstockrom.com/upgrade-upd...t-ultra-6.html"

There is almost certainly more info on XDA, but this looked like a fairly detailed walk through.

I will probably try it out on mine later.

Pretty sure that's a scam website. no one yet on XDA has successfully ported a rom that works, even on 5.0.2.

http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/droidstockrom.com Us registered site, but from Indonesia, good luck if you try, but i wont be.

Shame about that site, although I must confess I had not investigated it at all.

Interestingly, clicking on the link in my earlier post, which I had copied straight from hotukdeals.com links to a page which talks about the Chea A90, a flip phone, looking nothing like the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, whereas the actual page which does specifically mention it is http://droidstockrom.com/upgrade-update-vodafone-smart-ultra-6.html, although the ROMs appear to be the same!

Perhaps I won't be quite so keen to give it a try after all now... unless some other brave soul would like to give it a go?

This is flippin hilarious. there's been a lot of internal feedback at voda HQ about the handset but as you can imagine, we need the oem to build the rom, full test cycle etc... It's not an excuse it's just the reality for this type of device currently sorry :/ 6 is a probably a consideration if it keeps selling well for compatibility reasons, don't count your chickens just yet :)

Any one else stock camera app keep for closing !! mine has just started to, yet other camera apps work ok, might have to reset, but if i can avoid it i will.

Are you runing more than 1 camera app ? That may be your problem

No, just use the stock app, i have since installed Google camera app to test it out and see if my camera was working or not and it's fine with that, but the stock app just closes on me.

Looks like i'll have to do a reset.
