you've never owned a remapped mondeo then. clutch slips, fuel pump cant keep up and dies, LSD is for the torque the power make no difference, but if you like one wheel peeling everywhere then you dont need an lsd.
 
My 2010 MPS had an average of around 21mpg. Which is higher that my current 370Z lol.

I don't do many motorway miles however and it is a fairly short commute.

But even at that, nah you're not easily getting 35mpg in an MPS. On a long motorway journey, stich the cruise control on and yes, you might be in or around those figures, but the average would decrease quickly once you exit the slip road.
 
The only problem with the MPS is the right pedal... It goes down too easily and the fuel makes a loud noise coming out the back end resulting in serious gurning!
 
Love the way everyone is still going on about mpg'zzz even after OP bailed on the thread when his modding ideas were slated.
My ST gets 24mpg on nearly all motorway driving on my 50 mile round trip to work everyday! Now that's something to moan about:p:(

Never said 250
Never said 8k on mods
never said 60mph
never said it drops by 1mpg on regeneration. Drops 25.

I don't understand all the mpg chat - of course a diseasel is going to be better than a petrol equivalent with 60bhp more and a turbo, or when sooty is remapped likely still 30-40bhp more.

Get the car remapped (seeing as the power is one of two things you really want), be sensible about it and expect it to end up with a real world 15-20% power improvement over what you've got. Bin the other useless expensive tat you've planned for including the bodywork stuff unless you're going to have the car for a long time.
