Sapphire add back plate option to 390 & 390x

Oh man... I have 2 290 tri-x's... and even though its completely pointless I want to upgrade to two of those 390's with blackplates just because of how much better they look!

They should never of not had them, I thought it was only the Nitro without, I didn't realise the Tri-X didn't. Let's hope Ocuk get them in for those after Grenada.

It's not worth it unless you get a decent chunk back for your 290's, Having said that the additional ram will have it's uses in crossfire and they are a bit faster than the 290's as well as being more refined and easier to live with (In theory)

Ï agree with the first point completely... the tri-X is a sweet card with a great cooler, but it looks pretty poor... when they released the 390's with the nicer and better looking cooler... but no backplate.. it was better but not perfect. Now I personally see no reason to buy another 390 than the nitro (well, maybe the price/size)

Yeah, its more of a "oh that would be sweet" than an actual consideration. I mean, it would cost at a bare minimum £100 to swap the cards out and thats if I got really lucky selling them for like £200 each.
