395 in the latest iMac is a shameful re-badging of the M295X. Absolutely shocking! Even has the same clocks!! At least nVidia had the balls to at least clock there's up a bit!!

Shame on you Apple/AMD, absolute ********.

Just literally to have something other than (Insert negative title here) AMD thread :p

Oh and the article was from today, so it's kind of today's news as well :D

I'm not bashing you ;) just IT sites in general pick some miniscule thing and make it as news :D

Jedi, you forgot /s at the end of your comment ;)

That article isn't informing us of anything we didn't know over a year ago.
It's really not new news, I don't see the point in this thread either.

You're right, they actually 'decreased' the clocks ;) :p

:D yeah, just noticed myself. all the hardware compare sites are just copy paste incorrect specs, since m395x freq is 1250Mhz, not 723mhz.
But either way, its apple, they can market crap and people still buy it

if you followed the m295x with imac users, the full tonga 2048's had throttling and heat issues.

Yeah I know, was being tempted by one at some stage. Why o WHY can't they put a decent gfx chip in there!!?? With a Nano/980m it'd be nigh-on perfect...

Nano (Fiji) is essentially a tonga 285/2048 shader, scaled up by 50% so it would provide greater throughput but it would be hard to get down to 125w which for Apple is pushing the limits with the m295x already.

100% ;)

One big positive for the 295/395 iMacs is that they'll have pretty strong DX12/Vulkan performance down the road

Just remembered why I will not have any Apple products in my house.

I would rather buy bargain basement gear like those cheap and nasty TitanXs !!!!!
