Assassins Creed Syndicate

I thought MGS V was awful tbh massively overrated.

I'm happy to pay launch price (£40) for a game but I'm less inclined with this knowing they have held back single player content just to sell as an ultimate edition at launch.

The Witcher got it right but releasing a substational game at launch and then single player additional content later.

Honestly the amount of content in MGS V made me not care i purchased it at full price, which i often regret with some games, true the story was not as good as other mgs i think it was missing a lot of story driven cut scenes to fill it out in between missions.

Im tempted to buy the new assassins creed at launch, but after paying full price for the last one and forcing myself to complete it, not that i wanted to but because i felt i had to to justify the price, having said that i really really enjoyed black flag, but i am going to wait for the reviews and then pick it up at my local tesco if it is received well.

This looks quite good, but I've never played any of the other Assassins Creed games. Which is the best one to play before this?

Black flag was great, but not really an AC game (more of a pirate simulator), going back further AC2 and ACB are generally considered the best in series.

A lot of people rate blackflag my favorite has to be the Assassin's Creed: Revelations all of the AC:2 series were great.

TBH I've enjoyed the whole series. In order I think it would have to be:

Black Flag
Revelations
1
2
Brotherhood
3

I'm still playing through Unity. One thing I am liking is the assassinations - planning and preparation are back. Since AC2 it has usually been easier to run in, assassinate the target and then take on 50 guards. While Unity and AC1 are both flawed games, they're the closest to the base idea of playing an assassin.

I'm hoping Rogue makes it over to backwards compatibility at some point too as I'd like to give that a go.

I was a bit worried it would be unity but I have now watched the first 40 mins and it looks excellent.... I had cancelled my pre order. I'll wait on reviews that drop Thursday, and then decide...

And I'd rate in order of the games I've played
Ac2 - pc
Ac1 - pc
Black flag - ps4
Brotherhood - pc
Unity - ps4
Ac3 - ps3

Any other ac games i've either not completed or not played.

Like the look and feel of this game, never played an Assassins Creed game before, think it's time I took the plunge.

The jack the ripper sounds interesting. Shame its part of the season pass.

£20 maybe season pass on top of a £40 ish game makes this a £60 ish day one purchase.. Might have to wait till it drops in price a little... Seems entry price to get the jack the ripper included is quite high...

I picked up unity a few months after release for less then £20 .... And I got the dlc for that one free.

they made Unity's season pass content free for all due to the state of the game on release iirc.

True. I highly doubt syndicate is going to release in such a mess. So therefore no dlc for free.

Amazon has the game for £42.99 but I don't know how much the dlc pack will be. £24.99 maybe??

Psn digital deluxe is £69.99 but that comes with pre order exclusive ps4 missions, season pass and that only works out a few quid more.. £70 for an entire game..

Google time me thinks see if I can find a decent deal on base game, failing this wait till it drops in price I guess to overcome the dlc price,as I really do want to play the jack the ripper...

I'd forgotten all about the Jack the ripper DLC. It does look interesting.

There are original 1888 gruesome photo's of the rippers victims, none were young or attractive but they seemed to be in their 40's or older, or perhaps they were 20 but their sordid life had aged them
