i can catagorically say no for me, see, i'll be on the other side of the globe on Xmas day, in summer, in New Zealand. While (most of) you lot are freezing your bottoms off, i'll be getting a nice tan

I cannot think of anything worse if I am honest, and having had UK friends travel Aus for 18 months they said xmas over there was very odd and nothing like as special as in the UK.

Well, it'll be an experience at the very least. Yes, it's going to be weird having xmas in the middle of summer, but i'll get to experience one of my partners' usual xmas's. She had never seen snow till she came here in 2012. I'd imagine she found that quite strange too!

Snow lost its gimmick when I was about 10, it grinds the country to a halt.

Snow doesn't grind the country to a halt. It's people's inability to cope with it that grinds the country to a halt. The amount of snow we get should be nothing more than a minor inconvenience for the most part.
