**** The Official Google Nexus 6P Thread ****

someone on XDA called CPW today they said the Silver will be delivered on 26th and the black is delayed

In our battery test, we set screen brightness to max and continuously stream a fullscreen video over LTE. The 6P clocked 9 hours, 59 minutes of battery life, giving it one of the best results we've seen. It easily bests the paltry 4 hours, 11 minutes clocked by the iPhone 6s Plus, and outperforms the Note 5 (6 hours, 10 minutes) as well.

Cheers for that, MKBHD's shots looked fantastic! almost fell from my chair laughing when I got to the end of the 6p vs 6+ comparison.

"It's a tough call because the iPhone did best outdoors and the Nexus was generally better for indoor situations. But the iPhone is still has the best camera in a smartphone you can get because you can compensate for its deficiencies with filters or editing"

O rLy!!

And of course as well we all know you simply cannot apply filters or edit photo's taken on an android phone, jebus h wosisname!!

Not forgetting that the Nexus will shoot RAW (with a 3rd party app) and give full manual control, which makes the editing abilities of shots, and quality far far far greater than the iPhone still.

Surprised no review has yet to use manual camera app and compare RAW vs jpeg of the stock app.

What an unbeliveably stupid battery test. "We set the brightness to max". Well, yeah, you aren't testing the battery life are you then, you're testing the screen brightness as a function of battery life.
The iPhone is well known for having an extremely bright display backlight so it's no wonder the battery went flat in half the time.

Why can reviewers set brightness to a standard level measure in nits and test from there?

This is why I only trust Anandtech for battery tests.

I think what he's trying to say is that the Neux shots are much more processed out of the camera whereas the iPhone shots are using less in camera processing. I do a lot of image processing and having a camera that produces neutral colour is far more preferable to having better shots out of the camera.
I agree though, for the average user the Nexus is probably better as people don't want to do editing, they just want to shoot and share.

Can someone tell me what price the Google store is selling the 6p? CPW seems to be undercutting them on the 5x by £40 but can't see the 6p price due to the waiting list.

Thanks, that's great. And from reading above, it seems they are covered for 2 years as well. I'm going to order. My Nexus 4 is slowly dying. Used it hard enough in fairness.

I think 32gb £449, 64gb £499 and 128gb £570? This is for the 6p

Cheers pal, going to order from CPW at £439.99 for the Silver/Alum (32GB)

Don't need the extra space, already pay for unlimited data and 100GB Drive storage. Plus all my music and photos is now on the cloud and locally backed up on my hard drive array!
