Do you buy caged or free range?

Oh look preachy vegan.

Its not surprising were the only animal to regularly consume milk. No other animal can harvest it. Most animals also lose the ability to digest it after infancy. Something the majority of us don't.

And not all farming is grim.

We have started going to the farm shop down the road. Pick our eggs out of a basket of straw with the name of the farm they come from

same with our meat now as well. all has little notes from when its from. Yes its a bit more expensive but the quality is fantastic! happy to be supporting the local derbyshire farms

we have free range eggs delivered every saturday by our 'egg man' from the local farm not 10 minutes away.

Twlling how it is, except when it's not. On top of that implying milk is bad was other animals don't drink it. Although some predators do if they happen to catch a lactating prey.
Do you really think all chicken farming, including extremely small scale is all grim. Mo it's not is it.

I said it is grim industry because of what happens to all the surplus chicks.

Applied to all what?

This thread is about eggs, I said it was a grim industry. What else did I say was grim....

Al egg production, you think the mass produced ethos is applied to all, it clearly doesn't. You really think Mr and misses small farmer with a few dozen who sell them on the side locally use the same mass produced methods. Your views are so clearly skewed to broken. As shown by your silly milk point.l

I doubt very many people on here buy eggs off small local farmer.

If a supermarket doesn't sell it, it doesn't exist comes to mind...

Oh, that's why several in here have already posted they do.

I do one better and get eggs from the allotments. Plenty people sell them down the local club. Duck eggs too.

Obviously going to the club to see Jimmy to put your order in is not as fashionable as buying from the farm shop. :)
