Anyone going to any big events?

Theres one on at Nevndon Manor i'll be going to with a big group of friends, should be a laugh :)

I think Halloween is great - it has a lurid quality that I quite like.

I'm going to be doing a film marathon and I'm trying to cover all of the genres. So far I have:

Frankenstein (classic universal monster)
Ju-On (ghost / foreign)
Event Horizon (sci-fi)
Nightmare Before Christmas (family)
Return of the Living Dead (zombie / comedy)
Shark Attack 3: Megalodon (***** shark movie)

Just need a slasher / non-supernatural one!

Excellent movies! What about Black Christmas?
 
Might be dong Ashley J Williams for one of my Halloween costumes this year, i would rather be in ripped up clothes half naked in a club than in a huge Frank (Donnie Darko) costume.

This is my BOOMSTICK!

Wtf is trickle treating? Is that where you only do it slowly, for a little bit?
 
i'm heading to a halloween party where the costume theme is Pagan, I have no idea what do go as, other than a druid or something like that...
 
Love Halloween but I think there should be a rule that if you want trick or treaters you should put a lantern or something outside to indicate you are up for it. No Halloween item outside the house then don't knock unless they are people you know.

Kids around my way all come out early are with their parents and make an effort. I usually do a non traditional pumpkin to make it more interesting for the people coming around.

A good suggestion, but I've already got The Nightmare Before Christmas so two festive films would be a bit much, I fear!

Black Christmas actually pre-dates Halloween, which most people tribute to being the origin of the modern slasher!
 
My mate is chucking a Halloween do this year so I'm going as "The Grim Reaper" as I only need to nod at people and check a little black book !!

My Missus is going as a Vampyrai
One daughter is going as a School girl zombie and other is either going as a witch or vampyra as well.

Should be a blast
