** OcUK KINGS OF G-SYNC: PREDATOR X34 CURVE & ASUS PG279Q 165Hz IN STOCK!! **

Nice photo of the stock, Overclockers now has more predators in-house than the BBC. Also looking forward to the first person who is running 165hz G-Sync. That should feel pretty immense.

I'm curious, Will Asus phase out the TN variant of the Swift ?

*EDIT*

I own an IPS Dell and I honestly don't see a big difference between the Swift TN I have and the DELL IPS I have.

If you get a Sony W series you'll likely not be able to notice the difference when compared to a standard monitor I'd say (as I use one myself which I bought specifically for having the lowest input lag around).

Obviously you won't have the benefits of g-sync, nor will you have that sexy refresh rate, but if you use it as a multi-purpose display and/or you do a lot of movie and show watching then they're really nice still

Out of interest guys, what's the best 4k TV out that's the best for PC gaming?

Clearly shows that some people just want the best and not worried about cost

Some of us just don't want to be forced to "pick a side", crazy as that must sound to some :p

Very, very few people are going to buy /two/ £1000 monitors, one for AMD and one for nV :p

I'm still hoping for more high-refresh VA panels if not OLED, fed up of the compromises with TN & IPS.

Have they fixed the problems with colour crush, and off-central colour changes? Last time I checked VA had as many problems as IPS.

lol, you're funny dice.

There's many big differences, but lets say try this one...

Fix your eyes on any spot at all on your TN, then keep your head still and look around the monitor screen. Notice the ****ing awful colour shift ? Do the same with your IPS. ;)

I understand but the trouble is, AMD have Freesync and Nvidia have G-Sync, so if you want either, you are picking a side. Neither tech works on the opposite vendor.

Convenient spin that's down to one vendor, the real trouble is AMD isn't stopping anyone using AS, Nvidia is stopping their users from using FREE AS by refusal to add software/hardware support.

My eyes must suck bunghole then ass I honestly don't see that much of a difference :p

Are you finally beginning to understand why AMD are dying a slow death ?

Try this mate...

get a smallish jpeg, stick it at the top left of your screen, copy the image to the bottom right. fix your eyes on one of the images then move your eyes to the other one. you see ?
