Xbox one USB adapter for Windows

Sounds like the reason this may be delayed at retailers such as ShopTo is that basically the companion app for the XO controller in W10 doesn't go live until the 27th, and it seems pretty essential for wireless operation. Also allows firmware updates which is required for the headset audio to work.

Hopefully this will resolve all the issues people are having. Some can't even get it to recognise in Windows without manually forcing drivers!

IMO yes, I used both back to back and the XO pad feels much better to me. They have also substantially improved the build quality since launch. My 2013 release day pad was always a squeaky, creaky bit of plastic despite still working perfectly. The Lunar White Edition I just bought solely for PC use is so much more sturdier it's unreal.

glad I'm not the only one as I've been thinking about retiring my day 1 edition pad as its creaks and squeaks :)

Hmm, dunno that I would upgrade if I had a perfectly working 360 controller still, the only real improvement is the D-pad which you often don't use anyway on PC games.

If you want or need a better d-pad then it's a massively good upgrade.

I don't have a pad at all at the moment, hence the question of the 1 pad being worth the extra.

My Microsoft one shipped on Saturday as well, expected tomorrow. I regret pre-ordering with Game & ShopTo, didn't realise Microsoft did them for the same price also with free delivery.

So altogether around £70 to use a controller

I think I'll wait for an unofficial one to appear, my 360 one has worked flawlessly for a year, think it cost me a few quid off the bay.

Yeah, tis expensive, although not so bad cos I've had my xbox one controller since release now, so another £40-ish on play & charge + adapter is ok.

Does the one have a built in Battery like PSX or does it require AA's?

my only gripe is charging my 360 controller.

Postman just dropped mine off a second ago. Ordered from Microsoft in the end. Shopto have pushed their release date back even further - they have gone downhill, not honouring the £5 cash back if you don't receive by release day and making up release days just to not pay out . Also their new site is a bit rubbish, always used to be really good.

As I said above, I'm not sure ShopTo's delay is their fault. The adaptor basically isn't fully ready for release in it's current state (no rumble, audio pass through from the controller, problems actually installing it in W10) and it seems like it should have come out officially at the same time as the Elite Controller tomorrow as that's when the Xbox Accessories app for Windows which enables a lot of this stuff is being released also (or was last time I checked)

MS have been selling them direct early and I've not seen other places, including the likes of Game or Amazon, with it yet, as it's not meant to be out!

The fact there is no way to update the controller firmware yet unless you have an actual XO console says a lot!

Ah, didn't see your post there. Good to know otherwise I might have been wondering why it isn't working properly when I try tonight!

Can't seem to get mine to work. Comes up in device manager as Xbox ACC but doesn't install the drivers and I can't see the driver on the MS website either.
