Just ordered this Jaguar XE

Driven quite a few of the petrol ones at work - fantastic to drive.

Have you gone for many options? Some of the other guys at work have been getting mad MPG in the I4D with careful driving!

they have a jaguar compound down south and its just what is there at the time its the glacier white, templar 18s , cold climate and park pack on it.
Now to get it ordered how you like it would take 3 months , I am impatient and couldnt wait that long but to be honest the only thing I would have added is the black pack and maybe 19 inch venom wheels and privacy glass. I am going to get the windows tinted anyway so makes no odds to me.

Or perhaps because his actually exists?

I doubt Jag have much in the way of stocks of new ones of these at this time, but anything is possible I guess.

We will need Hovis of course! :D

At the time he was ordering he changed dealers at least 5 times and the one he went with was the quickest.
Of course there may be a lot quicker dealers that he didn't ring.
It would be interesting to find out where the OP ordered his from?

Just seen the post above.

Solid M8.

Certain manufacturers should just be banned from making diesel versions of their cars; it just sullies the bloodline :(

Jaguar are one, and Maserati are another. Seen a lovely Ghibli parked in the car park ar work, but sadly it's a compression-ignition version :(

Unfortunately it keeps them afloat.
Although, apparently Jaguar has been surprised with the number of XE orders that have been for petrol engines. Took them a bit by surprise by all accounts.

I'd agree with this, however like stated, the X-Type and Diesel saved Jaguar from disappearing. unfortunatley, with people wanting their cars to sound like a bus and polute the atmosphere to save some petrol money we live in a world of ole compression bangers lol. As you can see I'm not a diesel fan hahaha.

However nice car, but agreed, if I was buying a luxery car or sports car, why on earth would you buy a diesel. For me, I want the engine as part of it.

Laughed the other day when a TDi Audi TT went past... I mean... what? A diesel sports car doesn't sit well with me.

However this jag, nice car... bar the engine... but not sure it's got it's own identity yet.

When the government changed the rules to favour low CO2 g/km over things like Nitrogen Oxide emissions, that's when we saw an upsurge in diesel engines.

It's only in very recent years that petrol engines have started to make more sense again, as they are much more frugal than before and have similar CO2 emissions to diesel.

Having had a variety of turbo charged petrol engines over the years, and more recently moved to 6 pot diesels I can see the benefit of both.

Having said that, I was walking my dog last night and there is some roadworks near my home which means a lot of traffic backing up and the clattering of smaller diesel engines wasn't exactly nice on the ears.

My stupid Brother in Law drove 2 hours to collect his XE Portfolio and when he got there he couldn't bring it home because he hadn't got his driving license :D
He collects it in the morning.

He did take a picture though -
