Assassins Creed Syndicate

Loving it so far, no glitches, hiccups or anything or any noticable frame drops apart from some cutscenes. Only JUST found the exp bar :D Finished the tutorial, I think I've gotta load a bit before I can play again.. 71% currently.

I'm enjoying this so far my two complaints so far are the loading times are huge and I don't like that under your status it links to try and sell you stat points.

Edit - just had a cutscene where all I can see is a floating gun...... Oh dear..

This is actually very good so far. The combat is much better and pretty thrilling sometimes. London looks fantastic and the game plays very smoothly. Unity i got bored of. Black Flag was great. This is very enjoyable so far.

Music is brilliant. Reminds me of the new Sherlock Holmes movies.

Can someone explain the levelling system to me in Laymans terms please?

At the bottom of the map circle there is a 3 currently, with a small blip of blue on the right bar. I had this full at one point, bought a skill and it went down again.

I am lost, but somehow levelling and getting skills.

Edit: Ignore the above.. just seen it actually tells you on the Skills screen. doh!

I don't know how they could keep these going past Desmond. I think this series is long overdue a reboot. New main continuous character in an animus in someone's garden shed. That'd do.

This feels like a massive game to me, there are so many historical figures, some you get to see more then others, but each figure has quests for you to do. And the thames is jammed packed with boats... Was the Thames really that busy on this time period.

The graphics in places are breath taking, in others a little rough (inconsistency sadly) and I've had a few weird game breaking bugs that I've had to find creative ways around (bounty hunts - some weird issues in a lambath bounty hunt etc) but the biggest draw for me is Evie, she is way more focused and driven then her dive in and blow it all up brother. You could leave her brother totally out of the game and i'd not be upset, I prefer Evie and this is what is allowing me to enjoy the game..

This is a better game then unity, not the best AC game but very good all the same. And hours of gameplay. I've done 50% of the main story and done quite a few side quests and feel like i've got hours left before I've even got anywhere near what I feel a good percentage done.

Totally agree with you there. Few weird bugs but nothing major and nothing game breaking for me. Just typical AC weirdness.

I expect they used some artistic license for the river but having a quick Google i think it was pretty busy.

Like you say though, some of the graphics are really outstanding e.g. St Paul's Catherdal just look phenomenal, as do the vistas of London especially at dusk.

I quite like both main characters, they play off each other quite well.

Yeah the day/night cycle really does help, big ben in dusk with the clock face illuminated in yellow just looked totally amazing. Game needs a screenshot function .

The streets in the wet look fantastic, and there are some lovely little details like swinging lamps in the side of the carriages that light up once it starts to get dark.

Considering they pushed this game out 12 months after unity, makes you think, if they took an additional year to work on it. What could they really do?

UBIsoft got a lot of flack last year (rightfully so) but when they get it right they do provide some good open world games. IMO

The movie is out next xmas, so i'd imagine they will have some sort of re-boot to tie in with Aguilar and 15th century Spain.

It also looks like the main actor is playing two characters, so it could be similar to Desmond's story-line with Altair/Ezio.
