BUT, there was no need for all the BS about links to AQ or being able to attack western targets with WMD in 3 seconds, blah, blah. They didn't need to sell it or be all slimy about it.

Oh, I know. As soon as he used them on innocent civilians though...it was pretty obvious he couldn't be trusted. The hypocrisy isn't lost on me, but I just think if the west had put their hands up and said "look, he's a bad egg and we should go in there and find out what he's got", the world would probably have said "OK, whatever".

Waits for somebody to mention Israel in 3...2...1....

Even if Blair isn't guilty of any specific crimes, he still lied to the nation he was elected to serve about the reasons for the war in Iraq and destabilised an entire region. A truly odious man who will sadly go unpunished.

The intelligence was wrong so technically he didn't lie, at least not intentionally.

Given the same intelligence would this have been any different with another PM? Probably not.

Unless there is proof that the evidence was fabricated people just need to drop this and move on.

What intelligence is this? He's only using 'intelligence' as an excuse because he knows we won't get anywhere trying to reveal what that 'intelligence' was.

If I recall correctly MI6, warned us all that an invasion of Iraq would lead to more extremism around the world and put US (that's us in the UK, not the u.s.) at more of a risk to terrorist attacks

nobody listened then, and now its being swept under the carpet by alleged 'intelligence' evidence. Funny thing is I remember Bush saying that God told him to attack Iraq too!
