I wouldn't say he's a pointless character at all. He's relentless when it comes to survival and does what he needs to do to survive! Would be a shame to see him go.

^this. Glenn might be the one who loses a hand and the lack of using Daryl is becoming annoying, he's one of the better characters and it almost feels like he's been written out for a big write off this season
there was talk of dayrl not being in this season or killed off early before this season started. who knows maybe hes a **** . 
about rick i used to think why are people not more brutal ?
its nice to see now that after all the torment and strife they realize just kill them with no hesitation .
i think for me personally that has made me like it more.
it started out a bit fluffy bunny but the story has progressed and made then how to be honest i would be which is just finish anyone .

It made more sense in the beginning for people to be more friendly though, you don't just become a killer overnight and it took people a while to learn it was kill or be killed. That Morgan character does annoy me though, out of anyone you think he would have learned that pretty fast, yet he just wants to knock people out with a stick and hope they don't wake up.

Can't say as I like the character either but as below, he's relentless and full of 'street smarts' if you found yourself in a survival situation like in the show you'd be damned glad to have him! As for being a poor actor, well let's be honest not to many of them will ever win an Oscar

I don't see that's relevant? They ignore you covered in zombie blood, they eat you covered in freshly killed person blood...

So full of "street smarts" he gave someone who tries to kill him another chance and it comes back to bite him. Who'd have seen that coming....
Glen has not done anything any other Charactor in this show could not have done. Saying that he has the whining do gooder down to a T suppose. He'd fit in with the Alexandria group perfectly.
The only thing he's learned is to stab a Zombie in the head and being alive this long in Ricks group that's a given.

I think that's a little unfair. He was a pretty good character until he got to season 4 (iirc) the season where he just had to go to Terminus. The whole Maggie thing became too much. Bother characters suffer because of it. I do think his time is done and him dieing would be the right timing.

Just rewatched the scene with Glen. When they land, although Nicholas may partly land on top of him - Glen's entire face, neck, shoulders and chest are entirely exposed. Now, it may well transpire that the blood and intenstines etc. actually belong to Nicholas during that scene, but that notwithstanding, it is completely unrealistic to expect any way out for Glen.
(I am aware that using the term unrealistic in a show about a zombie apocalypse is a tad redundant)

And... in that case, they wouldn't feast on anyone whatsoever.
Nicholas was never a zombie - he was human, he destroyed his own brain, therefore never became a zombie at death.

I don't think he is dead. All the time watching it I was thinking that it wasn't a great effect as his head wasn't the right perspective and when I watched it again it was definitely at an odd angle as the other blokes body turned as they fell so he would have been on top of him facing up so the zombies could hey to the gooey centre.

the whole group have tried to grow and change since arriving at Alexandria, that's why he gave that whinning snot bag a second chance
and neither has any other character?! I don't get that comment. glenn could have easily done anything rick or Darryl has done? what sets them apart? because they are likeable characters?
or because they are the type of character we would all hope we would be in that situation?
don't get me wrong his character gives me rampant diarrhoea! but I don't let that blind me from the fact he's a core character and has played a vital role in the series up to this point
as with any series story certain characters will always wind people up.
different people different opinions. i never liked glen since hes been in walking dead.so i identify with others who feel the same.
some may think hes fine. thats okay with me also.
