Just had an Accident. Video Footage

Is that a baby crying at the end?

Yes it's a fault but you've got to admit, those markings don't help.

Colt was at fault but mate could have avoided that accident fo sho, he saw it coming, swerved to avoid then went for it.

On a drawing, no way will that go 50:50, colt will be liable, if the video is submitted then it could, possibly go 50:50

Yeah Colt in the wrong lane but why on earth did the camera car carry on the manoeuvre after the jerk reaction

Surely you'd keep going round instead of demanding to take your exit to cause the actual accident. I genuinely think the camera car caused the actual collision, but I still agree the other car was completely in the wrong.

9/10 this would not have been an accident.

It often seems the case with dashcammers. Youtube is littered with videos of people driving themselves into totally avoidable incidents just so they can upload footage of "bad drivers".

People make mistakes, yes other guy was technically in the wrong, but if the camera car had been paying attention or not been stupid and tried to go round, then there would be no accident.

Camera car's fault, his/her insurance should pay 100%.

I love the whole "Totally avoidable" and "I would have done such and such" comments in threads like this. It's completely different situation when you're sitting at your computer staring at an event, watching it over and over.

You realise you're saying this in relation to a video where the camera car clearly saw the danger, reacted, then quite clearly chose to turn across into a certain collision anyway?

This is an entire world away from watching a video 15 times to spot the twitch of a steering wheel in a car 400m away and claiming it was obvious from that he was about to go through a red light or something.

If you don't watch this video and think 'wow, that was easily avoidable, why did he do that?', you probably ought to go book yourself in for some more lessons.

Yes Colt was in the wrong lane but your friend then seems to have believed that the "bubble of right" will protect them from being hit. Your friend is obviously aware that the Colt is making a mistake as they swerve to avoid and then swerve back again.

At 22 seconds, your friend should have kept going around the roundabout but believed that a divine force would protect them because they are in the right

100% this. Never heard it referred to as the "bubble of right" before but an excellent way of putting it. The other person may be totally in the wrong but not doing all you can to avoid an accident anyway is idiotic.

Looked 50/50 to me, she started it but he finished it.
He could see what she was doing as he turned right there by missing the coming together, but then turned back left and that's when they hit.
She probably thought as he was turning right she was clear to carry on, only for him to turn back left
