Alright, I'll bite........

So thanks to your handy link, I found the article it refers to.

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2007/may/13/comment.communities

I'll leave it here so others can have a look, and oh what a surprise the picture took it completely out of context to get people all frothy mouthed, and it worked.

only part of that article I really agreed with was this bit:

Yup, I've got no idea why anyone would want to live here either. The leaflets for how amazing Britain is must be 50 years out of date.

Ok that's clearer information thank you although I can tell you why a lot of people come here, 1 word, Benefits.

thats been debunked too though, as asylum seekers arent entitled to anywhere near what the average brit is, I'll find a link for that after I've had my dinner.

Economic migrants possibly, but that isnt the question here IMO, as theres no 'crisis' with them, its really isnt our problem.

Very true, I'm not English so really I'm not qualified to tell anyone to stay out of this country but that being said a huge portion of these people aren't from Syria and the UK shouldn't be made to take anyone in especially from muslim countries and yes I know I'll get called an islamophobe by the left but I don't care, I've had to deal with them a lot and I simply don't want them anywhere near my home.

But asylum can be claimed from any country, it depends on the circumstances. Its just the likelihood of it being granted due to being a warzone, or persecution is massively more likely.

Not wanting to live near someone doesn't necessarily mean they should be left to die IMO.

The majority aren't even from Syria, They are from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Various north African countries, They literally have no reason to "Flee" other than to try and get free money from the UK/EU.

lol.... Dave really has no clue what is real and whats not, he's constantly changing who he is depending on what he is told current reality 'is'. he has had a sheltered Eton life, bless him.

May I ask why?

The muslims I have dealt with have called themselves "Moderate" yet have shown no signs of being "moderate", They constantly tell people islam is the only path and all others are infidels that must be converted or punished.

I'm pretty sure you get the idea if you are logical and that is the type I do not want anywhere near me, islam is stuck in the year 600AD and very unwilling to move into the 21st century.

It's either their way or the highway which for non muslims means bad times ahead.

As I said I'm not British so I cannot tell someone from another country to get out otherwise it would be incredibly contradictory of me but something I have learned is that tolerance to intolerance is cultural suicide and that's exactly what is happening in Europe and the UK.

Iraq? ISIS and 10 years of war from 2001 onwards.

Afghanistan? Erm OK then....

Pakistan? Also got a history of human rights abuses.

North Africa, what like Libya? Last time I checked that had a massive uprising and civil war.

Plenty to 'flee' from.

Yes but why is it our problem ? Why must we take these people in ?

Why not "Flee" to one of the many many other muslim countries which would have been a lot easier to travel to ?

Why come to what is mainly a Christian country/countries which according to muslim scripture is a sworn enemy of islam ?

Well the only way I see it as 'our problem' is purely on a humanitarian basis. Ebola wasn't our problem, but we helped. World War 2 initially with respect to housing foreign nationals e.g the Czech and Polish free forces to name a few, we've got a history of being a 'helper' nation.

They have fled to others, again do a bit of research, theres millions in turkey not the 5000 that get cried about here.

Christianity isn't a 'sworn enemy' either, and the same way with christianity people can have a faith without having to follow every written down rule.

Should we should have an open door policy?
A million in a couple of years all with 12 family members that they want to share there new lifestyle with.

Multiple different deeply religious factions all with a pharmacological hate of each-other, some of them with a real hate of western society who take readings of the Koran very literally.

We should all be more like them, as the Koran said.
