So let's say someone decapitated your son/father etc. and you have a choice - death penalty or life sentence (life sentence I mean locked behind the bars forever). What would be your pick? If it wouldn't be the first option, then you are pathetic.

It's mainly because their culture is totally alien, and often at odds with, our own.

You have to remember that islam is not just a religion; it's a culture, it has its own code of laws. It's a socio political system. It concerns itself with ruling nations; it overthrows secular governments to form islamic states; it believes strongly that the destiny of islam is to "conquer" the whole world.

So yes, it's because they're muslim. And islam is not just a religion.
 
I will add this as well. I would have more sympathy for Christian refugees, yes.

Across the ME and African, Christians are being "ethnically cleansed" by muslims.

You can say they aren't real muslims till you're blue in the face. This is the /reality/ of islam. Pretty soon there will be no Christians at all in many parts of the world. They will have been either killed or expelled at the hands of muslims.

And this is being reported in the Guardian. You can't get a more PC publication.

LOL. If these comments represent the genuine views of the left/the liberals, we better hope they never get back into power.

I have been pointing this out for years to people but the liberal idiots just call people who point out the truth, Islamophobic.

Nothing will be done until it REALLY hits home hard and at that point it can go 1 of 2 ways, The liberals bend over even further and pull the rest of us down as currently they are the ones making the rules, Part their cheeks for the muslims OR we defend ourselves.

It really does boil down to it being that simple.

I have no doubt the liberals would slit their own throats, when the militants came knocking, to prove how muslim-friendly they are :p Or even join their side to take up arms against us (the "racists", the "fascists").

This always makes me laugh. It was a bloody cartoon! I as an atheist surrounded by Catholics and Protestants can say what i like about God,Jesus, Mary,The Pope and whoever else they believe in without the fear of being assaulted or even shot dead, simply because for the most part Christianity has grown up.

We shouldn't have to tolerate their completely irrational response to anything that they deem offensive. Islam needs to grow the **** up!

I will never be able to get my head around the idea of adult men and women killing someone because of a drawing :rolleyes:

And yet, over the past 100 years, we enlightened Westerners have killed more of those Middle Eastern 'barbarians' than they've killed of us - and by several orders of magnitude.

Europe has been at war for thousands of years. We've exported our wars all around the world. There's nothing special about the Middle East's infighting and it all seems pretty tame by European standards.

Funnily enough, even our wars are different. The west made massive scientific, technological and medical progress during our wars.

In the ME and Africa, no. Were it not for western arms exports, they'd be fighting each other with sticks.

"Barbarians" is right, but we're not the ones living in the stone age.

Yeah agreed, it was a cartoon. I'm not a muslim, I'm not a devout christian, but some people have a really stong link to their religion.

Now, in the majority of cases where you purposefully set out to offend people you'll get a verbal disagreement, thats fair enough.

But to us a 'bloody cartoon!' (I agree btw) is hugely offensive. Now lets consider the 99.9999999% of people who took it in bad taste as an offence to them but did not act.

What was it, 4 guys? 4 guys out of billions of believers, probably millions of those offended, 4 take up arms and suddenly its the religion at fault.

Christianity is equally at fault if we use stats like that.

Yeah it was public and against what we live for, but we live in a world with nutters regardless of skin colour or religion.

Please explain how Christianity is in any way, shape or form responsible for the Charlie Hebdo killings.

Where any of the cartoonists Christian? I thought they were an atheist publication. So, no.

Could you please explain how you find Christianity to be at fault as regards the killings?
