Extra planet next to the sun...Nibiru?

I'm normally pretty quick to dismiss videos about Nibiru and so on, it's just a load of conspiracy nonsense. However this video has me confused...no i'm not suggested it's Nibiru, just wondering what causes this.

It basically shows another round glowing sphere above the sun. At first I thought it's just the moon but nope, apparently that's behind her.

Is this some kind of recording or lense error? Also, if so, how could I re-create, I could really wind up some conspiracy nut mates with it

I know we have a YT thread but this would quickly get buried and i'm really curious what this is. I checked the YT comments for the vid and it's your usual nonsense of people desperately chasing likes with childish nonsense.

Indeed, officially called a parhelion.

Likely caused by reflection and refraction in the sky/atmosphere.

It was the light from the sun reflecting off my ass as I was sunbathing & it was projected onto the clouds....

The answer is there somewhere...

It doesn't seem quite like the description of those Sun Dogs, as in there's only one and it's quite elevated above the Sun, whereas that wiki link seems to indicate they come in pairs and are to the left and right.

It may not be it. I imagine there may be other types out there that can cause a similar effect to this. It may be the case the other is below the horizon but still doesnt explain the angle of them unless its different depending on where the sun is in relation to what its refracting off :confused:

Having clicked through to YouTube to watch the video I noticed the top comment mentions sun dogs. I would like to say I didn't notice this beforehand

If it was the moon it would have to have become very massive and moved a long way away for it to look like that. you can't see the moon there in the sky because the sun would be lighting up the back of the moon.

ditto for any random planets. It would have to be pretty much half the size of the sun and further away to look like that. Unless the planet is just a blob of glass or something.
