I have been pretty happy with my Dell Ultrasharp U2011 but for a while I have an urge for a bigger monitor.

What I wanted was an affordable 32" G-Sync monitor but prices are way over what I could afford. So decided to look at something a little smaller.

Have my eye on the Acer Predator 28", which is about my price point though would probably step up to £500 at a pinch. But I then why spend 500 quid on a small upgrade?

So I am going to ignore Gsync, but would like a decent IPS 32-34" monitor. I am a gamer if that helps.

Spotted that but was not keen on the lack of DVI and having Thunderbolt which I can never see me using.

Don't think you'll enjoy a 34" ultrawide at only 1080p. Seems like a bit of a  PPI scam.

My 2p on the 32" - I'm not impressed with VA panels. Couldn't find one without some degree of visible colour banding. Might just have been unlucky, and it might not bother you, but the chances of finding it on any given unit seem to be pretty high. Which is a shame, cos I would also like to find a decently priced 32" 16:9 with 1440p and they simply don't exist x(

Dell would be my favoured manufacturer - of all time, actually. I have never had a Dell screen that was anything less than flawless (7 screens over 7 years, and none of them have developed any faults to date). They are more expensive than most, but that seems to be because they use premium components and have tight QC.

U3477PQU looks like a winner to me at this price-point tbh

But if it's going to be used for a lot of gaming then def get a Gsync monitor, the difference is pretty big!!

I've just gone for an X34 :D

And what G-sync monitor can I get at this size and this price. I do not think there are any? Your X34 is almost twice my budget and way out of my league.

Acer Predator 28", but 4k will put a strain on your gfx card. There are some Swifts in OcUK Clearance for £420, might be worth a punt! Some will have been repaired by Asus and be as-new (perfect for your 980 tbh)

As in you can have a affordable 32" but then you can not have a it with G-sync, or you can have have a 32" G-sync but then the price is not going to be in your price range.

The monitor snips86x linked looks a nice one but it lacks G-Sync you asked for.
