I wish i got a hybrid

there are 3 AIO coolers for gpus that i know of.

kraken g10 - ugliest by far.
corsair hg980 - very nice and should fit your gpu.
evga hybrid - very nice but not sure if its fits anything other than evga.

i think they all need an actual h55 or h60 or h80 to be purchased separately though.

There's also the Accelero Hybrid II:
http://www.arctic.ac/uk_en/accelero-hybrid-ii-120.html
and now an Accelero Hybrid III if you fancy a 140mm rad instead of the 120mm:
http://www.arctic.ac/uk_en/accelero-hybrid-iii-140.html

Comes as an all-in-one pack so you don't need to buy an H55/H60/etc or VRAM/VRM heatsinks separately, and very quiet even at 100% in my experience. Not saying they're better than the other options (I can't as I haven't tried any of the others) but it's another couple of options if you're looking to go the sealed watercooling route.

Definitely get a custom fan curve on the go - for the card as well as any chassis fans you have so when it starts to get toasty, the fans kick in 10% higher than the temp for example.

EDIT: As a comparison I currently have this:
2x120mm fans and 1x140mm fan at the front of my case as intakes
2x140mm fans at the top as exhausts
1x140mm fan at the rear for exhaust
1x120mm fan right at the backend of the card blowing air into the vapour chamber

But I don't use a custom fan profile anymore - mine is 1:1 and I get 60 degrees max at 1440p, 67 on 4k with relatively high settings.

Before I setup my fans correctly, I was getting around 80 degrees at 4k

Firstly why did you buy a case named after a band member in West Life?

Secondly 83c is nothing to worry about with these cards, it's probably slightly higher than normal but then that could be down to your West Life case's airflow or fan profile.

Thirdly you can hybrid your card as other people have suggested. Someone has done the Amp Extreme
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28354858&postcount=5343

and I am sure that on OCN that people have done it to the regular amp edition just double check you have a heatsink of the VRM modules incase you need to buy some but you should be okay I think.

edit - you're fine

who are westlife?

planning on getting this case for my green x99 build

83C is fine. A lot of GPUs won't throttle until they hit over 100C.

What gpu's are these out of interest?

Even the hottest running gpu i know the 290 series which had a 94/95 target temp which wouldn't throttle till it hit these temps was the highest ive seen.

Over 100 now WOW

Wow, I didn't realise how bad that Bitfenix Ronin case is for cooling, check the GPU Delta results >> http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2013/08/09/bitfenix-ronin-review/3

I didn't think the Corsair Carbide Air 540 was that great, as I had one myself, the results above in the link say it's good 7°C better for GPU cooling. I've seen a few people modifying their side panel when using SLI with this case though.

Leading on from this post, check this youtube video out at around 2 minutes in, he's modified his 540 side panel with what appears to be a 200mm fan, GPU temp 65°C overclocked to 1500MHz with the MSI 980 Ti Gaming Edition.

At a later date he installs a Krakken G10.

The hottest are the Hawaii range and like you said 94/95 is the throttle limit, I imagine the majority would have a stroke and pass out if they went beyond 100.

I think Nvidia had some 500 series cards that got just as hot as Hawaii though.

If OP goes for the carbide 540 he wont have ant air cooling problems and the case is well suited to watercooling for when you put the CPU under water. If you put the CPU under, why not include the GPU in the loop as well?

Yup had a 580 and boy was that toasty

not true with the 980ti, I noticed it throttled around 67c. Can't remember the exact temp but it was around there.

Wasn't throttling due to the core then, was the VRMs or one of the many other reasons why cards throttle/downclock

I wish I was a little bit cooler
I wish I was on water
I wish I had a loop who looked good, I would cool her
I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat
and a six four impala

my boost clock speeds did at 67c I just checked some old posts I made.

mines just been at 77C and stayed at full boost so if its dropping boost at 67c there's something wrong with it.

Edit:
according to nvidia boost 2.0 doesn't kick in till 80c
