Both are almost neck and neck. Apple is £200 more expensive. It feels £200 more expensive IMO.

Which one do you advise for?

Coming from a HTC M7 which I've lost patience for.

The 6s without a doubt over the 5X. The Z5 compact is worth a look so is the brilliant 6P.

Depends how fond of IOS you are as well, do you have any experience with it at all?

Also not like Nexus 5X is a compact phone at 5.2" so there's other alternatives like the Z5 or even Compact as mentioned above which will be closer to 6s in size?

I decided to try a 6S for a change, do find it smoother than anything I have had before, even compared to my S6 edge but it does lack in features compared to Android, well a s6 for example.

If you're not deeply reliant on Googles services and money is not a concern then probably the 6S. Assume you've narrowed it down to those two based on size?

I thought the 6S and the 5x were around the same size?

Are you buying on contract?

Difference on contract between a 6S and a 5X on contract will be much more than £200 if you get a retention deal.

Last time I upgraded I got an iPhone 6. I had thought about getting a Note 4. I had haggled hard to get no upfront cost on the iPhone6. I returned it and got a Note4 instead when I heard the deals that could be haggled on it. I saved £17 per month on that - and at that point the Note4 was a more expensive handset. (Both had only recently been launched)

That was a saving of over £400 over the length of the contract. I liked the iPhone but I couldn't justify that. Networks have much more room to haggle with a non Apple device.
