Second Iteration of Special Edition Drivers Incoming from AMD in November – Will Include Significant

Timing wise it would fit well to show the 380x at it's best, When's it due? I only remember seeing one news feed about the 380x being released and that feels like ages ago. There's been nothing since.

November AFAIK. I also noticed the Fury has started to drop to around £400 now on and off,so if there is a decent performance boost,it would put it in a good light when compared to the GTX980 too!

A month ago I'd have said the same, but with the Ti dropping a little too and the (almost) complete lack of overclocking headroom I'd say £350-£360 is more like it...

Except the GTX980TI tends to be around £100 more and that is after I checked a few retailers and HUKD just now and that is still around 25% more in price. At many retailers the GTX980 cards are around the same ballpark price,as the cheaper Fury cards now,and I don't see why a GTX980 needs to be priced more. Outside limited time special offers, the GTX980 is still going at £380 to £420 at most retailers.

At least the GTX980TI is generally faster than a Fury X in most benchmarks and even in DX12 does appear to hold its own. The same cannot be said of the GTX980 when compared to the Fury cards like the Tri-X and the XFX one,and I expect the latter to be £380 to £400 by Christmas once more stock comes through.

Its neither here nor there between the Fury and the R9 390/GTX970 cards,as the former is generally ahead at higher resolutions(if you look at most reviews and get a consensus) and the latter are almost as good at 1080P(even at 1440P too).

The cheaper the better, Admittedly overclocking is a joke on the Fury cards but it is a really good chip to live with compared to say Hawaii and if the drivers do boost performance a bit more it is worth what they are asking if you are willing to pay that for a graphics card. We don't know how these cards will all compare to each other in a years time but I'm confident I'll be looking at my Fury Tri-x favourably.

I'm still in the habit of monitoring my gpu temps all the time from my 290x days and this card is one cool dude.

No, I just spend more time on other forums where there are more technically minded people, places like beyond3d

Basically insulting near enough everyone on here then at OcUK? And also insinuating that Flopper must be more technically minded if that's where you keep finding him. Or possibly you didn't think that insult through when you decided to put it?
I guess this is why not many people like you?

I thought that when I originally read his post, but could not be bothered to respond :D

That's hot, I don't think my Fury Xs have hit 40c yet.:D:p

Fury Xs are weird, they use more power than 290Xs yet are a lot easier to keep cool.:)

You have a sexy ass custom rig though =( Plus my fans don't go over 40% I could keep them cooler if I wanted, but 52C is plenty cool enough I'd hope =) Just waiting on that there voltage control to raise my temps some :P

Never had a single issue with Nvidia drivers, all have been flawless. People with issues must have done something wrong.
Nvidia just don't make mistakes.

Everyone makes mistakes. Like Nvidia's Vista drivers, for example. I still haven't forgiven Nvidia they were so bad.

They didn't get their Vista drivers out for months after, there was hell on, loads were buying their 8800s for it, but they didn't work, they had to recall them all if i remember, as they were done for false advertising or something, as they were being sold as Vista ready :D
