I have two homes, both with PCs that I play BF4 on.

Both have 560ti GFX and 8Gb+ of RAM. One is i3-540, the other is i5-760.

So they're both getting on a bit, how much would a gaming laptop to replace these be?

When I bought my MSI laptop from OcUK about 18 months ago I spent £1200 on it and that was about a mid range gaming laptop. Coped with BF4 well and still does really. It all comes down to how much money you want to spend on it. The more money you throw at it the higher spec and more features you will get, just like building a PC really.

Thanks mate, just looking for some opinion to help me decide whether to build new gaming PCs or kill three birds with one very expensive stone :-)

If you did want to go down the budget gaming laptop route but want to be as up to date as possible then maybe have a look at the new Dell Inspiron 7559.

I was all set to spend 2k on a monster laptop but after doing some research I have managed to get a spec that "will do" whilst im stuck in hotels etc at what I think is a respectable price.

I paid £699 for the laptop (50 quid off discount code) and I have on order an 850 EVO m.2 250gb SSD + another 8GB DDR3L ram, which has bumped the total price to £812.

For that it's got me skylake i7 6700HQ CPU, 16GB ram, 250GB m.2 ssd, 1TB SSHD, GTX 960m 4GB GDDR5, back lit keyboard, IPS FHD screen.

I'll post some thought's when it arrives as its out shipped from china now.

Matt

Thanks mate.

I move between two places so its not true mobility that's required but worth hearing your thoughts.
