Noticed on the wiki for this episode the following;
In the present, Morgan relays this story to the Wolves' leader, whom he has previously captured, hoping that his story can help him change his ways. The Wolf reveals that he is injured and that he could die, but suggests that he will kill Morgan and the Alexandrians if he survives his injuries, as part of his "code"

I'm really not buying that this guy is the leader of the wolves. These guys just seem to be cannon fodder.

Thought it was a good episode but I'm convinced in my head that it was Glen shouting 'Open the gate!' at the very end of the episode.

As already mentioned, they are decaying. They are trying to show how emaciated some of them look. The majority of zombies in a horde will have been dead for a very long time.

In the first season, they were all fresh corpses.

Corrected not Fixed :D

Definitely sounded like Ricks voice to me at the end shouting.

Slow, dull episode but with some good dialogue. Poor Tabatha the goat though :(

The guy getting bitten was a bit convoluted. He's supposed to be some akimbo master but he can't manage to deal with one walker? He coulda just bashed it in the head.

He struggles with the walkers as well earlier when they go for the goat - looks quite clumsy and very un-stealth like not sure if its intentional or just bad production - someone like that wouldn't have got the drop on the Morgan we saw earlier on in the episode :S

Glenn is not dead. Ignoring the numerous websites that have him in pictures filming later episodes in the series (not flashback scenes), you can see when he's being "eaten" that his intestines/bowels seems to be coming out of his upper body/shoulder area. After consulting with a medical professional I can confirm this is not medically accurate.
I suspect when he and Nicholas fell, Glenn's body was shielded by Nicholas.

I think it's pretty obvious that the intestines aren't his. I'd be surprised if anyone thought they were. The way they shot it is quite clear that they aren't his.

The issue is that there is no conceivable way he can get out of there as he is surrounded by at least 60 zombies. They are going to have real trouble writing a believable storyline for him to get out alive.

That said I fully expect him to make it out alive and unbitten. He's one of the few decent characters on the show so I can't see them killing him off.

He does die in the comics of course but they're not really following them so i'm no sure that is relevant.

It will be something ridiculous like a manhole cover on the ground that he somehow gets into or he climbs under the nearby bin.

Didn't they disguise themselves in blood and guts in order to avoid getting eaten earlier in the show? Pretty sure I remember that.

Maybe Glenn will try that if he's still alive. Although I'd be worried about his mental health if he did, ha. :p

Yes you are right but it was zombie guts. Intestines from the living are like zombie catnip, their own intestines, not so much.

Anyway I thought it was a really good episode and a change of pace after the first three episodes were pretty much "full-on". It was good to see a bit more about Morgan and this makes his current actions clearer to understand. It will be interesting to see how Rick handles him though, Morgan's current "code" and his inability to kill the living I would argue is actually a threat to the safety of the group, will Rick stand for this?

Yup, instead of pulling Morgan backwards away from the zombie he goes in front of him, turns his back pushes Morgan down and gets bitten. Just seems one of those stupid plot points where the writers just phoned in the ending, as having already established him as more than capable of handling himself it was going to be tricky to easily kill him off. So they go the quick and easy route that totally went against the grain of the episode.

Just a half assed way of killing him off that seems like it was thought of on the spot.

He is still alive, re watch the episode at the point where the guts start to fly, he would have to have a set of juggs on him like beach balls with how far away from his face the chest appears to be which is being ripped open.

Just took a pic showing what i mean.

The annoying thing is, in every other episode, if someone is lay on the floor, the walkers know to kneel down and start ripping them apart...

So it appears that it will definitely be Rick focussed in the next episode with the 'open the gate' shout and then episode 6 will be Darryl, Sasha and Abraham before they go back to Glen in episode 7 ready for the mid season finale which I assume will end with the introdution of the next threat or character.

My missus rewatched the opening trailer last night and there was definitely Glen clips/scenes in it that haven't aired yet.

I'm not overly fussed at knowing the the theme for the next few episodes but I was thinking this morning, does it really need a 7th series? I can't think of many TV shows that have run beyond 5 or 6 (can think of 24, Prison Break, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy just of the top of my head and yes there are more) but realistically what can they do to change, enhance or continue TWD beyond this season, I mean the only possible endings are, live happily ever after in a safe 'community' in a world of walkers, all the walkers are cured (impossible now) or they die off or everyone dies and the world resets back to natures control.

Other than that we start going to a new level of madness with super-walkers, I just get the sense they're putting a lot into this season in terms of action and drama and may end up ruining the show by miliking another series or even film.

Can't you tell it's a slow day in my office haha
