I have an LG 29UB65-P - http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-29UB65-P currently and I am looking to get a 144hz monitor for CS:GO, and other FPS'.
I am unsure what one to go, in terms of the quality, performance etc.
I would quite like to run it alongside my UW that i currently have, and to mainly use it for CS and facebook etc and then my main 29 inch UW for the main things as i love it!
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I am making this choice too. Cant decide wether to get th3e aoc 144hz freesync monitor 1080p or acer predator 1440p. You can fine both the monitors im talkig about in my thread below. I have r9 390 and they seem best value for money monitors

Once you go 1440p you can't go back. It is single handedly the most noticeable upgrade I have made in years. If you can run it, and can find a decent monitor (easier said than done I find these days), then do it. :)

I went from TN/1080p/60hz to IPS/1440p/144hz and even if some of my games don't hit 144fps (although many are 100fps plus) the quality of picture and speed of responsiveness has been fantastic.

1440p is such a jump over 1080p!! You will love it.

I have a 4k monitor but will quite happily in 1440p as it is that big an improvement over 1080p for image quality, even though this isn't my monitors max res.

I do it for eye candy without major system load.

Go for it

Currently on AMD so will be going FreeSync sorry, i forgot to say lads! Got an R9 290 but will get another for crossfire if needs be after i get the monitor.
What do yous think of this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/acer...idescreen-led-monitor-black-re-mo-078-ac.html
People have never really answered when ive asked in the past, would quite like to know as its a lot cheaper and would suit my budget far better.

A couple of weeks ago this baby dropped down to around £380. I would wait until that happened again as I paid £499 for it and it is a fantastic monitor.

As for the Acer you mentioned it is cheaper because it has not got many of the features that the others have. Best to go research some in depth reviews on any monitor you like the look/sound of.

Good place to start is here

They do really good in depth reviews. Also this monitor forum may have a few people with the Acer and other freesync monitors. Always weigh up user reviews too. I took 4 months to decide on which monitor I was going to get but it was worth the research as I am a really happy bunny now. :D
