Member market requirements

They could always make it a subscription say £10 for a years access. I'm fine with how it is now tho to be honest 1000 posts isn't hard I'm getting there lol

I haven't qualified but certainly from what I've read it seems a good amount as I do the 'eye roll' everytime I see another eBay thread, incidently I don't have anything to sell but would like to see what everyone raves about.

No, just no.

It's the sub £200 GTX 980's and the X99 bundles for under £300. Well worth it.

The way some people talk about how the current requirements a tad tough I'm having visions of the Shawshank Redemption.

I think it's quite modest for MM access atm.

I haven't seen any, and I just happen to be looking for one :p

Shhhh don't spoil the secret. We need to give the sub 1000 chaps hope!

MM is good, the trading is well implemented and well moderated but don't be expecting huge bargins, you have to be very, very quick when one does pop up.

I always chortle when I see "cheeky offer of 30% lower than you want" posts.

But the am amazed when the seller agrees! If you don't ask you don't get.

Members market is fine as it is though i don't think would be worse off if the requirements were tightened to be fair. Quite a great community on the MM and i think that is brought on by the time investment required to become a member.

After you reach 1000 posts and 18 months you will be contacted by a main in a trench coat. He will blindfold you and take you to a room with the other candidates and spoons will be given out.

Last man standing obtains MM rights

One of the threads started (by someone with under 10 posts) in the GPU section looked like it was written by a dog with D in GCSE English. Not saying he was a scammer but someone who cant contribute or communicate with the community, as well as has little to lose by scamming, is exactly the sort of people we want to block access to the MM.

Oh the irony :)

Doesn't matter when you joined, why would your account be worth anything to you if you barley use it to post.

The point being that not everyone speaks English as a first language......

See I understand the requirements. But two things annoy me.
It does encourage some spammy posts. I mean people that post 2 word replies along the lines of "try google".
And the other issue that some people just reply without reading the whole thread. Just jump in with a reply on page 6 that's already been covered in earlier posts usually by the OP when someone else has already asked/stated the same thing.

Granted its not just people with less than 1000 posts who are guilty of the above. Maybe on the way to 1000 the nature of that kind of posting gets subconsciously programmed in.

Must post more... I've got a box full of AWESOME Pentium 4 Prescots to sell that you guys are going to go crazy for!

And even those who do can barely use it in any legible way.

:D

The mods usually deal with the first issue, although in some cases just googling it yourself is a valid response to those who are too lazy.

Second point can't be helped really, who's going to read all the posts of a long thread to find out what's been said. It might be annoying but as long as they haven't replied in that way to make an easy 'post' towards gaining access I don't see a problem.

We do reduce postcounts for members we see doing this.
