THE FOG

I don't see the point tbh? It seems like you would have to be extremely close in extremely dense fog for that to be seen better than a normal light, in which case it would be too late to avoid them anyway?

People who don't turn on their lights because they think they DRL LEDzzz are enough should be shot.
As should those who drive around with front and/or rear fogs in perfect visibility. FUUUUUUU

Most are oblivious to the fact that the DRL are only front lights as well.

As for the fog lights I always turn my rear off when there is a car behind me so they can see my brake lights.

Getting some coding modifications done next week and will have the 'Scandinavian' DRLs coded so the rear LEDs are on as well as the fronts.

Including the coach driver on the M25 last night.

No real lights and just stupid leds on the front.

Fog lights are easy, but people seem to find them rather taxing:

Rear - look at the road in front - can you see the car in front without a bright red light with suffiient distance for you to be able to stop? No? Put your rear fog on as the person behind you will be in the same situation.

Front - are your dipped headlights shining back at you? Put your front foglights on and turn your dipped beams down to sidelights. If you have your dipped beam and your front fogs on at the same time, you fail.

And then what seems to be the really tough thing - when visibility improves - which doesn't mean no mist at all - turn the bloody things off.

as a new driver I found a few things very annoying -;

1 - Main beams in country lanes/b roads, now they're fine when you're alone but if you see a car approaching just go dipped for a few seconds! why blind the other person.
2 - Fogs, as per this thread people totally struggle with them, such a simple thing!
3 - speed limits, now I go speed limit and no more, no matter what.. yet I get people tailgating me non stop, over-taking me as if I go 20mph under etc! why!

Too many people put their fogs on and dazzle the drivers behind them too... loads of people even use them in the rain... there's just a habit of incompetence hanging around

Already had mine done ;) along with front fogs as welcome/leaving lights, full width brake lights, pace car indicators amongst a couple of other tweaks. The 'Scandinavian' DRLs should be standard on all cars IMO.

Fog lights, hate them! The amount of people who have them on at rush hour when your bumper to bumper annoys the hell out of me. If you can see the car 100mtrs ahead and every other in between then why put your rear fogs on ??? Oh and not to mention the ones who use them when its raining!!
