**** The Official Google Nexus 6P Thread ****

Been hammering mine most of the day - mixed usage - some calls/browsing/gaming and listening to music via Google music. Just hit 50% battery with 2hrs 25mins screen time. I appreciate that's not amazing but both my note 3 and nexus 5 would be about dead by now so I'm very happy :)

That on WiFi or 4G?

the battery life will be as most of the other phones, where marshmellow works great is when the phone is idle, i hardly lose any battery at night now

Mixture - mostly 3/4g with a little bit of WiFi.
Concerns about the screen being dull are unfounded IMO - its very very bright in comparison to my previous phones. Sound quality through headphones is also very good. Nice rich warm sound and plenty loud enough at 75% loudness

Have to say if it was about 5.2 inches with nexus 5 sized bezels it'd be perfect. I really enjoyed being able to use a phone 1 handed and that isn't possible with this beast!

Flipping hell it's so smooth in use. Just charging it up as it downloads all my apps.

The setup phase was smooth and easy, and Google Launcher isn't that bad so far. I may just use it over Nova. I'll replace the stock Messaging app with Textra I think and install CloudMagic again for access to my IMAP mail accounts.

I have noticed that the vibration motor on the device is much better than the one on the Note4, which I couldn't even feel going off in my pocket when on silent mode.

OH DUDE! You sent it back? Fair enough mate, now that all the hype has died down I've lost my itch to get it...the Note 4 is about as big as a phone can get for me....

Yup, returned it on Tuesday to CPW and I got my money back in my account today :(

Got to say though, I am very tempted to re-order and just have the attitude "**** the size and just enjoy the phone" :p

Hah I'm not surprised. Whilst it is too big every other aspect of the phone is significantly nicer!

There have been a few docking cradle designs posted to reddit for 3D printers. Does anyone have access to a 3D printer and is willing to try printing them out?

Lol - 'feature' of having stereo speakers with different volumes. Going to RMA it, do you get a new device back or a refurb? Should I just return it and order again?

If its a feature and not a fault then you will get a device that will have the same 'feature' :D

Looking at those links, some people who have returned it have gotten a better phone the second time around...

The annoying part is that on max volume its not noticeable, only below 4/5 of max.

Anyones Aluminium version have a raised plastic part on the bottom or any staining from the glue?

Mine has a tiny bit on the right hand side which I've not really tried to take off yet but a light wipe with a micro fibre cloth hasn't moved it off either.

Sounds like the phone was designed badly if Google thinks it is "normal" for one speaker to be louder than the other.

I expect there will be a silent design change like there was on the Nexus 5 (speaker hole size), Nexus 9 (button clickyness).
