Assassin's Creed Syndicate, as is now the Ubisoft tradition, has been out on consoles for a couple of weeks but will plod onto the PC later this month. As part of that process, Ubisoft has today announced the minimum and recommended system requirements, and it is my pleasure to present them to you.

This is what you'll need:

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64bit versions)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 2400s @ 2.5 GHz or AMD FX 6350 @ 3.9 GHz
  • RAM: 6GB or more for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
  • Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 270 (2GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0)
  • DirectX: DirectX June 2010 Redistributable
  • Sound: DirectX compatible sound card with latest drivers

This is what you'll want:
  • OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64bit versions only)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 (4GB) or the newer GTX 970 (4GB) or AMD Radeon R9 280X (3GB) or better
  • DirectX: DirectX June 2010 Redistributable
  • Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card with latest drivers
  • Hard Drive: 50 GB available space

And this is the "technical note from the developer":
"For a recommended experience, the game requires a video card with at least 3GB of VRAM when playing at a full HD resolution. While we encourage you to fiddle with the advanced options to fully customize your gaming experience, please keep an eye out for the VRAM meter usage when you adjust these settings."
Assassin's Creed Syndicate will drop behind the PC, club it in the head, and stick a dagger in its throat, all with a jaunty cockney accent, on November 19.

Really looking forward to this and some decent games out/coming :)

This is what you'll want for it to run half decent: Console

I'm holding out hope this is a decent PC port, I really want to play it, but not if it is a buggy mess like Unity.

Need something to enjoy on my 980ti.

Unity was pretty good for me apart from the stupid bugs but it always ran flawless and looked amazing. Hopefully this will come out with little to no issues.

As with any recent game, I shall await the "Gregster reviews with a Titan-X" before deciding upon a purchase.

Did Unity actually ever get fully fixed?

Last time I looked at it they had broken even more stuff trying to fix the previously broken bits.

I loved the early AC games, nothing since Ezio has been enjoyable for me though sadly. I'm expecting this to be just the same, I wish we could get the old feeling back.

I found black flag very good, that pirate factor is so difference to any game in the market.
The sea battle is very exciting, graphic was outstanding. I hope they can add this + proper multiplayer mode (player hunting each other rather than doing mission together) back in some point.

Yer, I really enjoyed Black flags ship combat and struggled quite a bit to start with but all in all, really did enjoy it. I doubt we will have ships in Syndicate but I would like to see it added again and the water was very good.

Then came AC:U, which I eagerly pre-ordered and so glad I did. Whilst I sympathised with others who had a nightmare with this game, for me it was pretty flawless.

I just think that these type of games are right up my street. Not too hard, a fairly decent story and some good graphics with good action.

Did you play AC Rogue? get it because you will enjoy it although for some reason it's underated & seemingly passed by almost unnoticed for PC, it's more or less similar to Black flag but even better with more weapons etc. Even the Legendary ships are there
I didn't even notice it was available but have not stopped playing it, you get a grenade launcher with sleep grenades that will drop a group of soldiers & a dart gun with sleep, berserk, rope & 'firecracker' darts.

One new area is the N Atlantic with icebergs which you can fire at to cause a mini sunami to swamp enemy boats.

This game also introduced 'gangs' now in AC syndicate, you have to capture gangs hideways by killing the leaders & cutting down the flag. There are female assassin ninjas hanging round in the shadows who leap out & stab you :p

Black Flag was great, the open sea combat and the battles with the legendary ships were amazing fun. My only gripe with that game is the constant switch back to the future. When you're not interested in the plot, only the gameplay, the reversions back to the future plot is a buzzkill every 30 mins.

I've got this on one of them nvidia code things, quite looking forward to it. Especially as the characters are from my home town :D

Jheeze, these specs are getting mad.. And i'm rapidly running out of SSD space :(

I use steammover to put my older games over to a 2TB HDD. That way they are still close by if I want to return to them but put the newer important one's on my SSDs

Agreed, unfortunately the modern day garbage is included in Rogue also and is totally pointless & destroys the immersion
