Hi

Does anybody have any stats on the above comparison. I've currently got a evga titan and wondered if i'd benefit massively from getting another and sli'ing or whether id be better of getting a single 980ti?

Id like to be able to run all of my games at Ultra 2650x1440 resolution and the titan struggles to do this on occasion..

Thanks

A factory OC model 980Ti should be just as fast as Titan SLI, especially in modern games as the Kepler cards struggle a bit with optimisation. Single high end card is usually the best way to go.

980Ti.
You'll get better performance, avoid SLI issues and get rid of an old card.

Take the 780ti for reference, even faster than your Titan.
(I do consider the Lightning the baseline as that's a clock any 980Ti can reach. Factor in the SLI scaling and you get the double performance).

If you check around Titans are being sold for 300£, which is quite ridicolous considering you can get a 970 for less.
Guess it's an iconic card.

Don't forget OG TITAN swag.

It's the only reason I haven't upgraded. I wish I was joking...

People often get the idea of buying a high end card today and another in a long time for an easy upgrade, but it's rarely worth it as a single future card would be a better choice.

IMHO SLi/Xfire is only worth bothering with if you are doing it with two recent high end cards.

Sell the titan and get a 980ti.

You could do it for less than £160.

Which makes me wonder why the hell I'm not doing it.
