Christmas..nothing I want

Neither a giver nor receiver these days :p

The compulsion to buy tat for each other on one or two set days a year is thankfully something we ditched as we got older, due to absence of kids.

It's all about the turkey roast and "sampling" the wine, these days :p

Situations like this, I often suggest a Mystery Box from a well known (potential?) competitor so won't risk linking it but it sounds like a popular web browser :P

Anybody else get to that stage of life where there is absolutely nothing they want or need?

I'm 44 and earn fairly decent money so generally through the year buy stuff but lately I find myself buying less and less and at this point when family has started asking me what I want for Christmas I am racking my brains.

It really does seem pointless buying me something for the sake of it and I'd rather they saved the money or spent it elsewhere but suggesting this recently to a family member I was told it wasn't an option.

Yep its been like that for a few years now, I just tell people to save their money

Said this last year I wanted nothing, needed nothing and could not be arsed with the whole spending silly amounts. Family got me a Sea plane flightfrom a loch for an hour over the West Coast of Scotland, even got to sit in the front seat of a full plane. My first thought was “ oh a flight great something I have to chase up and arrange” But fully enjoyed it, fantastic stuff. Friends a few years back sent out Email and Xmas cards saying they were not giving out presents this year and were going to donate to a few charities and they would like anyone wishing to spend money on them to do likewise.

Quick clip of the flight!

Funnily enough, I normally have this feeling every year. But this i know exactly what I want. I will be getting (hopefully) a sonos play 3.

If you want to be on Santa's good list, ask them to donate money to charity in your name. If you don't mind being on Santa's naughty list, you could always ask them for lottery tickets. :p

spending time together.

All i ever want for Christmas.
Gifts are nice and all, and i do appreciate them but I grew out of that many years ago, the one thing i love about that time of year is that it brings the family closer together, only thing i want for Christmas this year is to go back home and enjoy the company of my family and close friends.

I don't want anything for xmas if I want something why do I have to wait? I just go and buy it and the wife will get my pants and socks again from the kids.

Hmm, really? You have everything you desire?

$11,000,000 house in L.A.... A Ferrari? A Tesla? A luxury boat... like Eddie Jordan's £32,000,000 super yacht with night club that costs £30,000 to refuel. A few grand or so on a fantastic sound system? A few OLED TVs for gaming? A simulator hydraulic chair? :D

All i ever want for Christmas.

Christmas dinners are always the best out of everything at Christmas.

Lovely creamy potatoes, lovely thick white perfectly cut turkey with the new knives. Rich, rich gravy, gorgeous stuffing, roast potatoes, cherry sauce/cream sauce?... This is why I envy the Americans. They get this twice a year.
