The dev behind Msi AB has already hinted that Voltage control will happen.
I'm not so sure but hey, like these drivers I may be pleasantly surprised

If they did, it was a lie.*Pop's his head up and looks around*

That was actually quite impressive on Nvidia's part, its not a fraction on Mantle but it is pretty fantastic DX11.
Anyway... Googlay, Nvidia don't hate the end user, and for anyone to say its impossible to increase performance on anything is just trolling, if they are serious.
I would say in the past Nvidia absolutely had the upper hand in software development, but more recently i would say AMD have thier act together to such an extent they are more often putting Nvidia on the defensive, and that's good for all.![]()
nVidia really dug deep to pull out those gains - taking DX11 apart close to the boundary layer with the drivers not just at the interface between the 2 itself - I can't really see AMD putting in that amount of effort this late in the day for DX11 - though I suspect they've had a good look at what nVidia has been doing hence possibly why some of these gains maybe.
Will it though ?, as theres still no sign of the Trixx that was supposed to have it either.
I think it will, just not sure how long it will take.. TBH its gotta happen at some point, Next year AMD and Nvidia could be on HBM that will leave a lot of users not being able to overclock.
Am not sure how much hard work is put into this sort of thing, how long did Gddr 1,2,3,4 or 5 take to crack?
If it's as I suspect at the moment (IE the memory being on the same live as the core) then it won't happen.
They will have to come up with a way to supply both the memory and CPU separate voltage lines so that you can leave one alone and concentrate on the other, and I'm not even sure that's possible.
As I said I hold out absolutely no hope whatsoever, so if I am pleasantly surprised then bonus![]()
Leaps???... More like steps![]()

Sensational headlines and stories like this should maximize sales no end for AMD. I predict another dozen or so sold by the end of the year.... at least.
I am genuinely pleased that AMD have gained performance. Great stuff and keep up the good work.
I'm not holding my breath either, Hasn't the AB fella ended up simply saying he won't comment on it any more. I've given up on waiting for voltage tweaking, There seems to be an issue with it or we'd already have it and in all honesty I'm really happy with how my Fury Tri-x performs and I don't bother getting the 40 or 50 mhz that's available already through manually overclocking.
