I am going to link to my fb page, just so you can see the pictures, but here is the background for the damage:

I built this computer for Computex 2015. Since then it has done 7 shows. In Win NL wanted to borrow the build for an event, so I sent it to them, I went too!

They sent it me back and I received it today... this is how it arrived =(

Gutted, especially as this has an Ares III and a 5960x in it!!

:( That looks like it went from a fair height to do that, unless the cases are particularly soft but I doubt it from the build quality. Sorry to see that after the effort you put into building it.

What's going to happen with putting it right?

Not 100% sure what will happen now tbh. In Win will probably sort me a new case before anything is claimed from the courier. So far In Win have been great with me, so I don't expect it to be too much hassle. I am just gutted I have to strip the whole system down again to rebuild it. It has been seen far too much for it to do many more shows so now I need to do something different, it means more work =(.

The cases are very sturdy, 4mm aluminium with around 6 pins on each side of the case holding the inner to the outer shell, there is one pin that isnt snapped on the front so its had a fair knock. No idea about insurance as In Win sorted out the courier.

I am just glad that it is working (although it is only seeing 24gb of the ram now =( )

Thats damn annoying, glad the system still works, could have been much worse i guess. Nice looking case that too, my case would probably look improved by a good drop on the corner.

haha, In Win have put in a claim against Fed Ex for me. Not actually sure what they are claiming for though as nothing is damaged other than the case and they would send me one of those anyway because they are babes!

haha, nah, i think i will go crossfire Ares III instead if another one turns up (with im 101% positive it wont as I hadn't mentioned it to ASUS yet and they hadnt facebook messgaed me :P)

Tbh, I will probably get the 909 in black now just so it looks a bit different =(

ive worked for many delivery companies and they all the same, chucking, dropping, they dont care, mean i worked for city link in my early 20's(im 30) and i ordered £300 of home cinema speakers(no all in one job) and knew it was coming through my depot, so had a look as wasnt my section and the speakers were wedged in the corner of cage and my sub box had an hole in it(had to collect this from another depot), thankfully was no actual damage products, but i made sure i never had anything sent with them again..

if its not their own they dont care is what the attitude of these places seem to be.

Yup, i understand that, which is why we really did pack it with a lot of foam and bubble wrap. it seems like it must have been dropped on its corner though, which just messed everything up =(

I am gutted as this was literally one of the very first In Win 909 cases out of the factory. I had it before it was even announced and before a lot of In Win staff had even seen what they looked like. It was more of a trophy of how far i had come with my modding - being asked to do a build for computex and getting such equipment from just playing around with a build.

never mind, it will be sorted in the end!

just a little update on this, In Win have asked me for a full rundown of component prices, so looks like they are going to be claiming.

One of my SSDs has had a bit of an accident, it still works, but the sata cable was forced in a strange direction snapping the thin plastic that holds it in place

Only 24gb of RAM is showing now also. Not sure if that is a problem with the motherboard, the CPU being a bit funky or the RAM yet =( hopefully it will be the ram as that is the cheapest part to replace!
